She had formerly lived in Rock for most of her life and was retired from GlenWood Park Retirement Village. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Michael Anderson. Survivors include three sons, Richard L. Anderson and Brenda of Mt. Airy, N.C., Mark Anderson and Anita of Rock, Damon Anderson and Patricia of Rock; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Calvin Poff of Weynoake, W.Va., and Gene Poff of Chicago, Ill. Graveside services will be conducted on Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the Bailey Cemetery, Route 2, Rock, with the Reverend Daniel Hudgins and the Reverend Oliver Hill officiating. Burial will follow. Friends may call on Wednesday at 10:00 at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell and should meet at the funeral home by 10:30 if attending services.
