Survivors include: a son, Craig (Kathy) of Cedar Falls; a daughter, Cathy Harum of Waverly; a stepson, Jim (Donna) Philp of Waterloo; two stepdaughters, Micky (Lou) Deigel of Rockford, Ill., and Marilyn Gardner of Melbourne, Fla; six grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, four stepgrandchildren, three stepgreat-grandchildren and a stepgreat-great-grandchild. He was a member of First Christian Church, American Legion Post 181, and VFW Post 1078 where he was Surgeon and a WWII veteran of the Army Air Corps. He was united in marriage in 1943 to Marjorie Dingee. He is survived by his wife, four children, Forest D. Olmstead of Port Clinton, Ohio; Mrs. Jerry (Linda) Carrington of Galion, Ohio; Mrs. Robert (Kaye) Kissling of Bucyrus and David C. Olmstead of Bucyrus. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, four stepgrandchildren, 18 greatgrandchildren and three brothers, Leonard Olmstead of Shell Rock, Elton Olmstead of Waterloo and Wilford "Willie" Olmstead of Shell Rock. He was preceded in death by his parents and one half-sister. on June 28, 1994.³

She worked in the laundry department at Bartels Lutheran Retirement Community, Waverly, from which she retired in 1986.
