She was born Feb. 12, 1949, in Kittanning to the late Wilferd and Hazel (Oliver) Ion. She was a lifelong resident of the area and was a homemaker. Edith liked to play darts, crafts, and spending time with friends and family. Survivors include daughters Kim Wicklund of Wisconsin, Tina Erdley, of Pa., Hazel Kiser of Pa; sons Kenneth Ion of Pa; George Kiser of Fla; grandchildren, Heath, Nadua, Hailey, Martin, Alexis, Shayla; sisters Betty Hampton of Fla., Nancy (Jim) Schairer of Va; and brothers Don Ion of Pa., Mike Ion of Tennessee, and Bob (Vickie) Ion of Fla. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband George Kiser; and brother George Ion. Friends will be received Thursday, from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m., at the Kennedy & Blodgett Funeral Home in Kittanning. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday in the funeral home with the Rev. Douglas E. Dorula officiating.
