     Diane Martin Diane Martin Weatherford, age 79, died Sunday, July 2, 2023, at home in Franklin, TN with her daughter by her side after a cancer diagnosis on March 1, 2023. Diane was born July 8, 1943, in Knoxville, TN. She was the only daughter of the late Dana Joe Martin and the late Eunice ("Marie") Martin. Diane is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Judge James L. ("Jim") Weatherford, who died September 10, 2010 (age 79), and step-son William Bailey ("Bill") Weatherford who died in 2008 at the age of 48. Diane is survived by her son, Dana Ross Wilkerson (wife Kelly Clark) and daughter, Kelli Diane Olin (husband Michael Olin). Diane is also survived by her wonderful grandchildren that she loved very deeply, Michael Blake ("Blake") Olin; Ross C. Wilkerson; and Ashley Diane Olin who all called her "Bubbie." Diane attended High School in Knoxville, TN before moving to Nashville, TN and graduated from Donelson High School. Upon graduation she attended Helena Dye's Beauty School to pursue a career as a hairdresser. In the history of the beauty school, she received only the third award for excellence given to a graduating student. She was very proud of this award and went to work at a salon on West End Avenue in Nashville. She built her clientele quickly making them look chic and current. She married, had two children, and eventually took over co-ownership of the salon. She later sold the salon and began working in Green Hills at The Gazebo, and then at Wanda's Salon before retiring and marrying her beloved husband, Judge James L. ("Jim") Weatherford on March 20, 1999 after 22 years of dating following their first meeting at a Halloween costume party on October 31, 1977. Diane enjoyed growing award-winning roses, gardening, was an amazing decorator, an accomplished artist, and loved traveling all over the world, including many amazing trips to Europe, Egypt, Jerusalem, Russia, and many U.S. states attending horse races with her husband and then later with her children and grandchildren. She wanted to give her children and grandchildren lasting memories traveling with her instead of material things and boy did she ever! She never met a stranger with her outgoing friendly personality and was always up for a new travel adventure. She had a life that most people only dream of and was so thankful to Christ for her many blessings. She especially loved her English Bulldog, Harley, who's ashes are being buried with her per her request. Born Feb. 2, 1938, at Ingleside, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Helen Thomas Skeens. Having been educated in Mercer County, she was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was of the Holiness faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Virginia May Shrewsbury and a grandson, Eric Stupalsky. Survivors include: Her devoted husband of 53 years, Willard Daniel Poole; five beautiful daughters, Beautina Star Martin and husband Gene of Fairmont, Teresa Gail Collins and husband Steve of Oakvale, Sarena Gay Mitchem and husband Clifford, Robin Markata Pruett all of Princeton, Vivian Lee Poole of the home; four grandsons, Danny Lee Blankenship, Tyler Uriah Pruett, Trevor Daniel Pruett all of Princeton, Eric Wayne Hill of Hickory, N.C; three granddaughters, Ashley Marie Hill, Felcia Nicole Collins, Danielle Yvonne Collins all of Princeton; one sister, Linda McKinney and husband Denver of Matoaka. Burial will follow in the Brown Cemetery at Hardy.      Willard Daniel Poole was buried at Poole Family Cemetery, Princeton, Mercer Co., West Virginia.¹ He Willard Daniel Poole, 85, of Princeton, died peacefully, Saturday, October 14, 2017 with his family by his side. Willard was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great-grandfather, brother and friend. Willard loved the Lord and was a faithful member of the Rogers Street Community Church where he and his brother Jack sang together for 53 years for revivals, funerals and gatherings. Willard served his country and was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army and was a retired coal miner. Born, August 15, 1932 in Princeton, he was the son of the late Ervin Calvin Poole Sr. and Dorothy Elizabeth Jones-Poole. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 53 years, Phyllis Marie Skeens-Poole whom he married in 1964; one daughter, Sarena Mitchem; one grandson, Eric Stupalsky; son-in-law, Steve Collins; four brothers, Claude Clifford Poole, Cletus Calvin Poole, Ervin Calvin Poole Jr., and Ted Poole; and one sister, Ruby Poole. Survivors include his four loving daughters, Beautina Poole-Martin & husband Gene Martin of Daniels, Teresa Poole-Collins of Oakvale, Robin Poole-Pruett and Vivian Poole both of Princeton; four grandsons, Danny Lee Blankenship II, Trevor Pruett, Tyler Pruett and Eric Hill; three granddaughters, Ashley Hill, Felicia Collins and Danielle Collins; two great-granddaughters, Jaden Bailey and Emily Hill; six great-grandsons, Danny Lee Blankenship III, Devon Blankenship, Braden Bowling, Kaiden Crawford, Cameron Crawford and Nathan Hill; one great-great-grandson, Danny Lee Blankenship IV; one brother, Jack Poole & wife Betty Poole; one sister, Faye Poole-East & husband Randall East, both of Princeton; son-in-law, Clifford Mitchem; and several nieces, nephews, friends and church family. Survivors include husband, Clifford Mitchem; children, Eric Hill and Ashley Hill; grandchildren, Nathan Hill, Emilee Hill, and Brandon Bowling; sisters, Tina Martin, Teresa Collins, Vivian Poole and Robin Pruitt; and special friend, Missy Williams. on August 24, 2017.⁴

     Dwight Steven "Steve" Collins Dwight Steven Collins, 61, of Gorbutt Road, Princeton, died Monday, April 18, 2016 at his home. Born April 4, 1955 in Princeton, he was the son Shelby Byrd of Princeton, and the late Dwight Edward Collins. Dwight was a bridge crew foreman for the WV State Road Department and a graduate of Oakvale High School. While attending Oakvale High School, Steve was outstanding in all the sports programs at the school. In addition to his mother Shelby, he is survived by his wife, Teresa Collins; Two daughters: Felicia Collins and Danyell Collins; One sister: Karen Dunagan; Three grandchildren: Jayden Bailey, Kaiden Crawford and Cameron Crawford. The family has honored Dwight’s request that he be cremated.⁴ He was born on April 4, 1955 at Princeton, Mercer Co., West Virginia.^3,4 He married Teresa Gail Poole, daughter of Willard Daniel Poole and Phyllis Marie Skeens, on December 15, 1979 at Pearisburg, Giles Co., Virginia.^1,2,3 Dwight Steven "Steve" Collins died on April 18, 2016 at Princeton, Mercer Co., West Virginia, at age 61.⁴
