He was married to the former Louise Lewis on December 2, 1949, She died in 1971. A veteran of World War II, he served in the Army. Mr. Dolby was employed as a heavy equipment operator. He was a Protestant. Surviving are three sons, Gary L. Dolby of Springdale, Eugene A. Dolby of Limestone and Douglas K. Dolby of Clarion; one daughter, Miss Cathy Dolby of Brookville; one sister, Edna (Mrs. Fred) McCleary of Miola; and six grandchildren. Preceding him in death in addition to his wife and father were one brother, Francis Dolby, and one sister, Maxine Slicker. Services were conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 31, in the Robert V. Burns Funeral Home in Clarion. The Rev. Madison Stringfellow officiated. Interment was in Miola Cemetery.      Edna R. Dolby Edna R. McCleary, 93, of Corsica, formerly of Miola, passed away on Thursday, November 2, 2017 at her daughter’s home where she had been living. She was born on September 9, 1924 in Miola; daughter of the late Orlie F. and Orpha Whisner Dolby. Edna married Fred L. McCleary in October of 1941, who preceded her in death. She worked at Scotty’s Restaurant in Cooks Forest and at the Vowinkel Hotel where she was a waitress in her early years. Edna was a former member of the Clarion Moose Lodge #101 and a member of the Stitch & Chatter Club. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, crafts, and quilting. She is survived by her children, Fredrick McCleary and his wife Diane of Etters, John McCleary and his wife Terri of North Carolina, and Deborah Clinger of Corsica, twelve grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren. Edna is also survived by a son-in-law, John Wright of Miola and a sister-in-law, Betty Milanovich of Rimersburg. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one daughter, Diane Wright, a son-in-law, George Clinger, a granddaughter, Amy Clinger, two brothers, Francis Dolby and Emerson “Pete” Dolby, and one sister, Maxine Slicker. Family will receive friends from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, November 5, 2017 at the Robert V. Burns Funeral Home in Clarion, where services will follow at 4 p.m. in the Funeral Home with Rev. Sarah Sedgwick, Chaplin of the Community Nurses Hospice. Born March 22, 1923, in Miola; he was the son of the late Edgar and Willard Pauline McLaine McCleary. A veteran, Mr. McCleary served in the Air Force during WWII. During 1942 to 1946, he was a mechanic on the Memphis Belle. He was married on October 12, 1942 to the former Edna R. Dolby, she survives. Mr. McCleary enjoyed boating, hunting, playing cards, working, and gardening. He loved is dogs, J.D. and Rascal. In addition to his wife, he is survived by three children, Fred F. McCleary and his wife, Diane, of Etters; John E. McCleary and his wife, Terri, of Marion, NC; and Deborah M. Clinger of Corsica; a son-in-law, John E. Wright of Miola; twelve grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. Also surviving are three sisters, Betty Milanovich of Rimersburg, Doris Mahle of Rhode Island, and Mary Carolyn Deitz of Miola; and a sister-in-law, Arlene McCleary of Brookville. He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Diane E. Wright, a son-in-law, George F. Clinger, two brothers, Thomas and Charles McCleary, and an infant grandson. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, December 13, 2011, at the Robert V. Burns Funeral Home, 638 Wood Street, Clarion. Military honors will be accorded by American Legion Post #66 at 10:45 a.m. in the funeral home. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, December 14, 2011, in the funeral home with Rev.
