Born Jan. 19, 1926 in Kane, she was the daughter of Charles O. and Svea C. Hultin Johnson. On May 3, 1948, she married Herbert C. Lundgren, who died in 1998. She was a member of Tabor Ev. Lutheran Church in Kane, and had worked as a nurses aid at The Lutheran Home at Kane. Surviving are two daughters, Patricia Royer of Kane and Barbara Anderson of Cyclone; a son, Thomas Lundgren of Dunkirk, N.Y; and a brother, Virgil Johnson of Kane. Eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren also survive. Preceding her in death, besides her husband and parents, are eight brothers and two sisters. A graveside service will be held privately at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Kane. The Ronald McDonald II Funeral Home, Inc. has charge of arrangements. on November 15, 2010.¹

Born Dec. 1, 1937, in Kane, she was a daughter of Andrew and Hazel Lundgren Sobota. Ms. Sobota had worked for Stackpole for many years and had also worked at the Hub in Smethport. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Mt. Jewett. Surviving are a brother, Daniel Sobota, and a sister, Darlene Jashurek, both of Johnsonburg; and two nieces and a nephew. She was preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by her longtime companion, John Belinda. Friends will be received at the Cummings Funeral Home, Inc. in Mt. Jewett, on Wednesday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with The Rev. Vincent Cieslewicz, pastor, officiating. Burial will be at Bridgeview Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice. on March 21, 2011.¹
