Darrell Franklin Moore Darrell Franklin Moore, 61, of Salem, peacefully passed away from natural causes on July 20, 2022. He is preceded in death by his father, Marvin F. Moore, and his brother, David Wimmer. He is survived by his loving mother, Colleen Keith Moore, daughter, Jaedi Lee Moore, grandsons Colten and Draven, his twin brother, Danny Moore (Bergita), his sister, Marlene Moore Garman (Greg), many wonderful nieces and nephews, and extended family members and friends that meant the world to him. Darrell had the biggest heart, always supporting the underdog, and helping others out when he himself had needs. He had a way about him that made everyone he met feel like family, and he never met a stranger. He was eager to lend a helping hand, often over committing to support others before himself. If he had anything, someone else could have half or all, and more. His sense of community and ‘all-for-one, one-for-all’ spirit was evident in his daily life. Darrel believed everyone deserved to be loved and cared for, and he did all he could to help out, support and be a friend. His love of family and the way he stepped in to care for his mother is a shining example to emulate. He had a gift of caring for those less advantaged and he elevated those down and out, his heart full of compassion for anyone in need. He saw goodness in most, and even when caring beyond capability, when life stress and burdens were heavy, he managed to do all he could, the best way he could, and for all those he could do for. Darrell loved his daughter and grandsons beyond measure, and his mother was his source of daily strength. He will be forever in the hearts of his family and is leaving behind a legacy of selflessness and love. When we remember Darrell, we will smile and recall the good times we shared and know that life’s a journey… make it great one and remember to do all you can for others, but care for yourself first, so you always have plenty to share.4 He was born on November 27, 1960 at Roanoke Co., Virginia.2 He married Linda Darlene Luckado on October 3, 1981 at Salem, Roanoke Co., Virginia.3 Darrell Franklin Moore and Linda Darlene Luckado were divorced on December 16, 1986 at Salem, Roanoke Co., Virginia.6 Darrell Franklin Moore married Jennifer Sue Powell on August 18, 1990 at Roanoke Co., Virginia.3 Darrell Franklin Moore and Jennifer Sue Powell were divorced on October 26, 1992 at Montgomery Co., Virginia.6 Darrell Franklin Moore married Kristin Louise Mayer on August 9, 2013 at Roanoke, Virginia.3 Darrell Franklin Moore died on July 20, 2022 at Roanoke Co., Virginia, at age 61.4
