He had resided in the Tarentum area since 1957. Born Dec. 3, 1931, in Miola, Clarion County, he was the son of Louis G. and Anna Dolby. Mr. Dolby was a graduate of Clarion High School and attended Clarion University for two years. He played basketball and football for Clarion University. He served with the U.S. Army Military Police during the Korean War. Mr. Dolby was a foreman for 45 years with the former West Penn Power. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Brackenridge. Mr. Dolby was a member of Pioneer Hose and Brackenridge American Legion, Arnold Hunting & Fishing Club, Tarentum Jednota, Tarentum First Ward Democratic Committeeman and former member of the Summit Hose Co. in Tarentum. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, his garden and all TV sports. Mr. Dolby was married to Alberta L. “Al” Myers, who died in 2005. Surviving are two sons, Eric M. Dolby and wife, Donna, of New Kensington and Jason C. Dolby of New York, N.Y; six daughters, Linda L. Matarrese and husband, Timothy, of New Kensington, Patricia M. Wolfe of Brackenridge, Sheryl A. Bialas and husband, Jack, of Tarentum, Tracy K. Seagriff of Brackenridge, Constance R. Watson and husband, Edward, of Tarentum and Susan E. Dolby of Tarentum; the following grandchildren, Matthew, Madison, Tiffany and Christopher Matarrese, Jesse Beattie and wife, Beth, Emily, Nathan and Sarah Bialas, Alexis Dolby, Ashley, Joshua and Connor Watson; and great-grandchildren, Kali and Bailey McIntire, Kameron Beattie Arnold and Camryn Matarrese. He also is survived by a brother, Willis Dolby of Clarion; and a sister, Shirley Schmader of Clarion. In addition to his parents and wife, Mr. Dolby was preceded in death by a brother, John Dolby; two sisters, Joann Hedrick and Diane Dolby; a grandson, Anthony J. Castro; and two sons-in-law, Joseph Castro III and Frank Seagriff Jr. Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in the Duster Funeral Home Inc., 10th Avenue at Corbet Street, Tarentum. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in the funeral home with Pamela Bonnett, minister of visitation for his church, officiating. Interment will be in Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell. on March 21, 2007.2

Mrs. Schmader worked for Alexander Kooman Garbarino and Kifer Law Firm in Clarion, Domestic Relations in Clarion and was also Highland Township secretary for numerous years. She was a member of Helen Furnace United Methodist Church, where she played the piano for numerous years. She belonged to the United Methodist Women's Club, the Leeper Women's Club and was an avid card player. Mrs. Schmader loved to cook and was well known for her cinnamon rolls. She is survived by two sons, Greg Dolby and his wife, Kim, of Charleston, S.C. and David Schmader and his wife, Denise, of Tionesta; a daughter, Karen MacBeth of Mars; two grandsons, Nathan and Brock MacBeth; numerous nieces and nephews; one sister-in-law, Susan Dolby of DuBois; one brother, Willis Dolby of Highland Township; and a brother-in-law, Ralph Hedrick, also of Highland Township. She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Joan Hedrick; and two brothers, Melvin and John Dolby. Visitors were received Friday, July 4, 2008 , at the Robert V. Burns Funeral Home in Clarion. Funeral services were held Saturday, July 5, 2008 , at the funeral home with the Rev. Mark Hurtz, pastor of Helen Furnace United Methodist Church , officiating and the Rev. Randy Evans, Clarion-Forest Visiting Nurses Association Hospice chaplain, assisting him. Shrum, on January 28, 1954.1,2,3 Ralph Clyde Hedrick died on October 4, 2010 at Shippenville, Clarion Co., Pennsylvania, at age 81.4,3 He Ralph Clyde Hedrick, 81, of Clarion died Monday at the Hospice House in Shippenville. Born April 12, 1929, in Helen Furnace, he was the son of Clyde and June Knopp Hedrick. His wife, Joan Dolby, whom he married Jan. 28, 1954, died April 7, 2006. Mr. Hedrick graduated from Clarion High School, attended Clarion Teachers College, and graduated from Penn State with a degree in civil engineering in 1953. He entered the Army in 1953, was an engineer at Fort Belvoir, Va., and later served in southern France. He was honorably discharged in 1955. He began his career with American Bridge as a field engineer and retired in 1986 as general manager of the Eastern District. His local projects included Three Rivers Stadium and the Hillman Library at the University of Pittsburgh as well as projects in 19 states and Puerto Rico. He was active in the United Methodist Church in Bakerstown and in Helen Furnace. Surviving are a his children, Philip Hedrick of Clarion, Joyce Cassidy of Valencia and Debra Longbine of Derby, N.Y; five grandchildren; and two sisters, Helen Goble of Clarion and Jean George of Girty, Pa. A brother, Walter Hedrick, and a sister, Ruth Sherbine, preceded him in death. Visitation for Ralph Clyde Hedrick, who died Monday, Oct. 4, 2010, will be Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Goble Funeral Home & Crematory, 330 Wood St., Clarion. The Clarion American Legion Post 66 will perform military honors Thursday at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at the Good Shepherd Church in Tylersburg. Interment will be in the Helen Furnace Cemetery. on October 5, 2010.3

Alberta Louise "Al" Myers Alberta L. "Al" Dolby, 69, of Tarentum died at 5:20 p.m. Monday, July 18, 2005 at home after a courageous cancer battle for a year. Born June 9, 1936, in Clarion, she lived in the area since 1957. Mrs. Dolby was a licenced practical nures at Citizens General Hospital and Highland Genesis Elder Care, Brackenridge, for 30 years. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Brackenridge. Mrs. Dolby graduated from Clarion High School in 1954 and Allegheny Community College School of Nursing. She enjoyed baseball, especially the Pirates, spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandson, and also enjoyed traveling with her sister Nora. Survivors include her husband of 49 years, Melvin L. Dolby; two sons, Eric M. (Donna) Dolby of Arnold and Jason C. Dolby of Pittsburgh; six daughters, Linda L. (Timothy) Matarrese of New Kensington, Patricia M. Wolfe of Brackenridge, Sheryl A. (Jack) Bialas of Tarentum, Tracy K. Seagriff of Brackenridge, and Constance R. (Edward) Watson and Susan E. Dolby, both of Tarentum; grandchildren, Matthew, Madison, Tiffany, Christopher (Beth) Matarrese, Jesse (Beth) Beattie, Emily, Nathan and Sarah Bialas, Alexis Dolby, and Ashley and Joshua Watson; a great-grandson, Kameron Beattie of Arnold; and a sister, Nora (Paul) Neuroh of Erie.
