Glenn worked for Blue Ridge Sanitation Dept. for 30 years before having to retire because of his illness. He is survived by his parents, Robert and Vera Dudding; a brother, Ronald; a sister and brother-in-law, Diane and Jeff Harlow; a very special friend, Tammy; and many nephews; nieces; aunts; uncles; and many special friends who will miss him. Glenn was an outdoors man, gardener, and hunter. Thanks to Dr. Daniel Temeles, Dr. Alan Brijbassie and Amedisys Hospice Care for the care given to Glenn. A Funeral Service will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at Oakey's East Chapel with the Rev. John W. McCandlish officiating. Interment will follow in Glade Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. on March 16, 2014.2

She graduated from Rainelle High School in 1959 and attended Beckley (W.Va.) College. She spent years as a medical transcriptionist at Community Hospital in Roanoke, Va., retiring in 2002. Frances was a loving wife and mother and devoted Christian and member of Green Ridge Baptist Church in Salem, Va. In addition to her parents, Frances was preceded in death by her loving husband, McKinley Ray Light, and sister, Melanie Lively. Family remaining to cherish her memory includes her children, David Scott Wren (Barbara) of North Charleston, SC, Stephen Wesley Wren (Patty) of Texarkana, Texas, and Michael Ray Light of Salem, Va; brother, Paul Gladwell (Jean) of Rainelle, W.Va; grandchildren, Heather Heflin (Donald) of Conway, SC, Sharayah Lambert (Drew) of Lago Vista, Texas, Stephanie Wren of North Charleston, SC, Morgan Light of Salem, Va., and Ethan Light (Brooke) of Salem, Va; great-grandchildren, Christian Moore of Marion, SC, Bryce Lambert of Lago Vista, Texas, and Opal Light of Salem, Va. Interment will follow in Cedar Lawn Burial Park, Roanoke, Va. She attended school in the Baxter Community School District. On December 31, 1955, Shirley was united in marriage to Robert Wignall in Rhodes, Iowa and they were blessed with four wonderful children: Vicki, Randy, Robby and Shelli; they later divorced. Shirley never married again, but had a longtime companion Jerry “Monk” Dannon. Shirley retired in 2005. She loved her yard and it always was immaculate, and enjoyed feeding and watching the birds and also enjoyed fishing. Shirley’s life revolved around her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and always loved attending any event they might be involved in. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Vicki Wignall, of Rhodes, Iowa, Randy Wignall, of Rhodes, Iowa, Robby (Cindy) Wignall, of Rhodes, and Shelli Sosa, of State Center, Iowa; grandchildren: Gary Pencook, Tyler Sosa, Cori Esquivel, Kelsey Esquivel, Alexandria Gomez, Eric Gomez, Jake Wignall, Jesse Wignall, Trevor Wignall, Riley Wignall, Levi Cowan and Trevor Cowan; great-grandchildren: Seth Pencook, Devon Wilson, Zach Wilson, Isabella Sosa, Bentley Sosa, Jasmine Gruerrero, Kenzie Wignall, Kylah Wignall, Jesse Wignall Jr., and Sadie Wignall; siblings, Sharon Adkins, and Larry (Norma) Kiser, all of Baxter, Iowa, and her dog Rowdy. Jan owned and operated her own beauty shop on North Seventh Street, worked at the Iowa Veterans Home and Brewster's with Roger. She enjoyed her family, bowling, fishing and flowers. Left to mourn her loss are her eight children: Donita Steen of Marshalltown, Mark (Deb) Albee of Marshalltown, Rhonda Albee in Texas, Bruce "B.J." (Stacy) Albee of Marshalltown, Lana (the late Danny) Clement of Rhodes, Angie Ford of Rhodes, Jack (Carrie) Magee of Bethany, Mo. and Jill (Jeff) Welch of Marshalltown; two step-children, Monte Stonewall and Addison Stonewall; 25 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; her siblings: Wallace Whitmore, Lody (Jean) Whitmore and Everette (Janice) Whitmore, all of Marshalltown, Verneta Rash of Ellsworth and Maxine (Laverne) Sinclair of Ferguson; and several nieces, nephews and a host of friends. In death she has rejoined her beloved Roger; her parents; siblings, Max, Jerry and Don Whitmore, Ravola Farmer, and Audrey and Evelyn Davis. on January 23, 2008.2

Left to cherish Jim's memory are his beloved life partner of 14 years, Judy Steiner; his sons, Shane (Irma) Ficken and Jimmy (Debbie) Tichenor; 15 grandchildren; brothers, Carroll "Butch" (Joyce) Ficken of Nevada and Gary "Bill" (Barb) Ficken of Parkville, Mo; sister, Marilyn "Cookie" (Bill) Purdy of Melbourne; Justin, Eric and Clinton Hulbert and their families; as well as many, many friends. Butch was employed by Ames Computer Forms from 1990 to 2009. He loved being with his grandchildren, enjoyed woodworking, and was an avid Iowa Hawkeyes fan.
