God has another angel and we have our mother watching over us. She is with our Dad and they are dancing in Heaven with Jesus. Mom was the last of he Tuck-Scarberry family to go to Heaven. What a beautiful reunion is happening there. Family was so very important to Susie. She lost her parents at a young age. Her brothers H. C. and Doyle Tuck took care of her as well as her Grandmother, aunts and uncles in Texas. On the 4th of July 1939 on a blind date she met the love of her life, Ruel Scarberry. They were married 3 months later on October 21, 1939 and were together for 67 years before his passing in December 2005. Susie got another mother and father when she married; Mamaw & Papaw Scarberry. So many things she learned from them. On September 20,1943 Carole was born & on October 13, 1947 Ronnie was born. No two children were more loved than we were. When we moved to Merced CA from Tishomingo OK, new opportunities opened up for all of us. Mom taught us to be loving, strong independent children. We were blessed to have a mother who loved us so very much. Whatever sacrifices she had to make for her children she did. She was a Brownie Scout & Cub Scout leader, room mother and our biggest cheerleader. All of Susie's friends were her friends for life; visiting, camping, playing games, & traveling were just some of the things she did with her friends. When her grandchildren were born she was so happy to be a Nana and was always there, loving & caring for them, going to as many of their activities as she could. Great grandchildren came along & she continued to support them in anyway she could. Her great great grandson Colin was also the joy of her life. Five generations meant so much to her. She always told everyone that there were 5 generations in her family. Susie loved children. She babysat many children through her years and loved them as only she could. All who knew her knew what a special person she was. She loved to read, garden, listen to music, traveling, camping talking to God & listening to Him speak to her. She is survived by her two children Carole Jones & Ron Scarberry & his wife, Linda. Grandchildren Cynthia Cassady & her husband Steve, Christi Dion, Nanette Jones, Ronnie Scarberry II & his wife Mendi & Nicole DelCarlo & her husband, Dino. Great grandchildren Candace Moitoso & her husband Ben, Mitchell Dion, Corey Cassady, Nanette Dion, Dewey Cassady, Daniel Minor, Riley & Mallorie Scarberry, Anthony, Nathan, & Andrew DelCarlo & Great Great Grandson Colin Andrew Cassady. Several nieces, nephews & cousins in CA, Texas & Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 67 years Ruel Scarberry, her parents Douglas & Eunice Tuck, her mother & father-in-law, John & Bertie Scarberry, her brothers H. C. & Doyle Tuck. Services will be on May 20, 2015 Susie's 93rd birthday. we will be celebrating her wonderful life with family & friends. Services will be on May 20, 2015 at 11:00 am at Evergreen Memorial Park. on May 16, 2015.2
