He was preceded in death by a sister, Redyth Stevens. He was employed for 22 years by U. S. Navy as a First Lieutenant, communication technician, having retired in 1976.      Alta Louise Hood Alta Louise Beabout of Greenwood passed away on Tuesday, December 11, 2018. She was 82 years old. Alta was born in Paris, Illinois on September 12, 1936. She married Robert Beabout on October 9, 1954 and enjoyed 54 years together until his passing on August 10, 2009. Together, Robert and Alta raised two children, Keith and Kim, both of whom survive. She was an Avon Lady for many years, and also created floral arrangements, and loved gardening. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She is survived by her son, Keith Beabout (Cindy), and daughter Kimberly Zipper; grandchildren, Jason and Brandon Zipper, Tiffany Bell, and Alexander Beabout, as well as six great-grandchildren. Visitation for Alta Beabout is Sunday, December 16 from 3:00-7:00 p.m. at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral and Cremation Service, Franklin Township Chapel, 5950 E. Thompson Rd., Indianapolis 46237. Funeral services are Monday, December 17, at 1:00 p.m. with one additional hour of visitation prior to the service at the funeral home. Surviving are one son, Harold Hazen of Pekin; two daughters, Mary Ann Kline of Kingfisher, Okla., and Shirley Blanchard of Casey; one sister, Mary Ennis of Oilfield; 12 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and five great-greatgrandchildren. She was preceded in death by four brothers and one sister. Mrs. Hazen was a homemaker and a member of the Moriah Church of God. on August 26, 1999.4
