     Marjorie Lucille "Margie" Burns was buried at Putney Cemetery, Putney, Kanawha Co., West Virginia.² She was born on August 19, 1925 at Kanawha Co., West Virginia.^1,2 As of September 5, 1941,her married name was Elmore.¹ She married John Dennis "Johnnie" Elmore, son of Andrew Waitman Elmore and Charity Christene McCune, on September 5, 1941 at Putney, Kanawha Co., West Virginia.^1,2 Marjorie Lucille "Margie" Burns died on February 16, 2014 at West Virginia at age 88.² She Marjorie Lucille (Burns) Elmore, born Aug. 19, 1925, departed this earth and went to be with her heavenly father on Feb. 16, 2014. She is now out of pain and smiling after battling a long illness. She is one of God's angels in his garden of flowers. Marjorie and her husband, John D. Elmore, had 16 children: 11 sons and five daughters. She was preceded in death by her husband and seven of her children: six sons, Andrew, Dennis, Daryl, Clayton, Clifford and Tommy; one daughter, Patricia "Patty" Edens; three sisters, Helen, Nora and Oakie May; one stillborn brother; and her parents, Aurthur and Mary Cloe Burns, who are waiting for her in heaven. She loved going to church, and loved all her children and had a lot of friends. She is survived by her children, Frances and Jack Hampton Sr. of Dunbar, Joe and Sherry Elmore of Rand, Remona Mylan of Florida, James Elmore of Missouri, Diane Boggess of Tennessee, Dayton Elmore of Georgia, David and Shelia Elmore of Georgia, Delmer and Kathy Elmore of Ohio and Irma and Bobby Collins of Campbells Creek; 42 grandchildren; 77 great-grandchildren; and 38 great-great-grandchildren, some who are with her in heaven. The family would like to thank the people of Hubbard Hospice House West for all they have done. You treated Marjorie and the family like we were your own. God bless you all. Surviving is her husband, Floyd R. Edens; children, Joshua Edens of Dunbar, Jennifer Burch of Sissonville and Amanda Taylor of South Charleston; mother, Margery Lucille Elmore of St. Albans; brothers, Dayton, David and Tommy Elmore of Georgia, James Elmore of Missouri, Joe Elmore of Charleston and Delmer Elmore of Ohio; sisters, Frances Hampton of Dunbar, Ramona Malin of Florida, Diana Hill of Georgia and Ermalee Collins of Charleston. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Stephanie Landers of Georgia, Christian Thomas of Hurricane, Robert Edens of Sissonville, Mikalia and Devin Taylor of South Charleston, Jada Burch of Sissonville, and Baby Jake Aaron Edens of Dunbar. A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 16, at the Bethany Independent Freewill Baptist Church, 134 Jenkins Drive Rd., Sissonville, with the Rev. Arnold Sheets officiating. At her request, Patricia has been cremated and her cremains will be buried in the family cemetery at a later date. on May 15, 2006.³

     Clifford Henry Elmore was buried at Putney Cemetery, Putney, Kanawha Co., West Virginia.^2,7,5 His Social Security Number was 236-74-4871.⁸ He was born on December 20, 1947 at Sanderson, Roane Co., West Virginia.^{2,8,3,9,7,4,5} He died on March 15, 2004 at Cleveland, Cuyahoga Co., Ohio, at age 56.^2,8,3,7,9,5 He Clifford Henry Elmore, son of the late John and Margie Elmore, expired on March 15, 2004, in Cleveland, Ohio. He was born on Dec. 20, 1947, in Sanderson, W.Va. He served in the Navy during the Vietnam War and was a third class petit officer. He is survived by his son, Robert Elmore Murray of Lexington, Ky; two grandsons; his mother, Margie Elmore of Cabin Creek; five sisters, Frances Hampton, Patricia Boggess and Irma Collings of West Virginia, Ramona Milam of Florida, and Diana Boggess of Georgia; six brothers, Joe Elmore of West Virginia, Tommy, Dayton and David Elmore of Georgia, James Elmore of Missouri, and Delmar Elmore of Ohio; and his companion, Barbara Turley of Cleveland. He was preceded in death by four brothers, Andrew, Clayton, Dennis and Darrell Elmore, all of West Virginia. Services will be 1:30 p.m. at the Cinco Wesleyan Church of Campbells Creek, with the Rev. Hathaway officiating. He will be laid to rest at Putney Cemetery in Campbells Creek with military honor service. on March 25, 2004.⁵

     Tommy Vernon Elmore married Ruie Estella Smith.⁵ Tommy Vernon Elmore was born on September 26, 1951 at West Virginia.^6,7,2 He died on September 6, 2008 at Georgia at age 56.^6,7,2 He Mr. Thomas Vernon Elmore, 56, of Hephzibah, Ga., entered into rest Saturday, Sept. 6, 2008. Tommy was born Sept. 26, 1951 to Marjorie Burns Elmore and the late John Dennis Elmore. Memorial services were held at 11 a.m Friday, Sept. 12, at Flowing Wells Worship Center, 1223 Flowing Wells Rd. in Augusta, Ga., with the Rev. Tony Rhodes officiating. on September 17, 2008.²

Snodgrass.² Brenda Darlende Dunlap was born on December 8, 1955 at Quick, Kanawha Co., West Virginia.^4,2,3 She died on February 19, 2002 at Charleston, Kanawha Co., West Virginia, at age 46.^4,2 She RACINE - Brenda D. Snodgrass, 46, of Racine died Feb. 19, 2002, at CAMC General Hospital after a long illness. Born, Ida Sue Dec. 8, 1955, in Kanawha County, she was the daughter of Helen Elmore Dunlap of Chesapeake and the late Leo Dunlap. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Paul A. Snodgrass of Racine; brother, John Dunlap of Hernshaw; and sisters, Sharon Michael, Linda Brogan of Georgia, Donna Dunlap of Chesapeake. There will be no service or visitation. Stevens Funeral Home, Madison, is in charge of arrangements on February 21, 2002.²

     Marjorie Mae Poff was buried at Jackson County Memory Gardens, Cottageville, Jackson Co., West Virginia.^1,2 Her Social Security Number was 233-64-2815.³ She was born on July 1, 1933 at Glen Ferris, Fayette Co., West Virginia.^1,3,2 As of circa 1950,her married name was Dorsey.¹ She married Gilmer Allen Dorsey Jr. circa 1950.¹ Marjorie Mae Poff died on December 31, 2009 at Cottageville, Jackson Co., West Virginia, at age 76.^1,3,2 She Marjorie Mae Dorsey, 76, of the Evergreen Hills Community, Cottageville, passed away December 31, 2009, at her home while surrounded by her family. She was born July 1, 1933, in Glen Ferris, a daughter to the late Nellie (Clark) Poff. She was also preceded in death by her brother William Nile Poff. She was a former nurse's aid and unit clerk and later retired as a lab and x-ray technician from Jackson General Hospital. She was a member and former secretary of the Evergreen Hills Freewill Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Gilmer Allen Dorsey, Jr; sons Larry Allen Dorsey of Ripley and Gilmer Layne Dorsey and his wife Annagret of Aura Salle, Germany; daughters Vickie Lee Corcovilos and her husband Theodore of Maryville, TN, and Janice Gayle McClure of Cottageville; sisters Nordene White of Hinesville, GA, and Sharon Kennedy of Montrose, VA; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Service was held at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, January 3, at the Evergreen Hills Freewill Baptist Church with Pastor Mark Price officiating. Burial followed in Jackson County Memory Gardens, Cottageville. Visitation was from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Saturday, January 2, at Casto Funeral Home, Evans. on January 5, 2010.¹
