He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans Chapter 18 of Beckley and the Church of the Brethren at Crab Orchard. He is survived by his wife Lois Farley Crook, two sons, James Edward and John Norman, both at home; a sister, Mrs. Pearl Wiley, Beaver and two brothers, Phillip and Miles Stanley Crook, both of Jumping Branch.
