Opal Marie Hall was buried at Woodland Cemetery and Arboretum, 118 Woodland Avenue, Dayton, Montgomery Co., Ohio.2 Her married name was Wulbeck.2 She married James Herman Clarence "Jim" Wulbeck.2 Opal Marie Hall was born on December 19, 1927 at Beckley, Raleigh Co., West Virginia.2 She died on October 17, 2017 at Ohio at age 89.2 She WULBECK (Hall), Opal, 12.19.27, born in Beckley West Virginia. Mom or Opal, developed angel wings October 17, 2017 and left this mortal world at 89 yrs. She requested for many years that she wanted to be buried in a "pine box", nothing fancy - just a pine box, and that's what she's done, she's purchased a Shaker style pine box. Preceded in death by her husband Herman "Jim" Wulbeck and son Bruce and her sisters, Margaret, Pearl and brothers Paul, Earl, Eugene and Euel Hall. Survived by son Henry Wulbeck and niece Tina, (Wulbeck) Bowers, (Daniel) and many other numerous nephews and nieces. Opal moved to Dayton, Ohio in 1947 where she met the love of her life, Jim. Together they built their first house near Huber Heights, then sold and in 1956 purchased their current residence, one of the three former John and Elizabeth Harshman Sipe farm homesteads in Beavercreek. Opal was a wonderful Mom and homemaker, raising two sons. She touched many lives with her goodness, her thoughtfulness and her humor. She was an avid reader, seamstress, gardener, cook and baker. Many recipes came from her 1946 Better Homes & Gardens cookbook. Others came from the Dayton Daily News, her mother and her friends. In the 1960's, she taught herself to read music and to play the keyboards to the music of Earl Grant, George Shearing and other keyboard recording artists. In the 1990's she enjoyed traveling to Germany and Holland visiting with her late husband's relatives. In her later years, when homebound, she enjoyed listening to Neal Boortz's former radio program, "The Church of the Painful Truth" and the Sunday morning WBZI radio church program with Mark Mumma's Grace Master Builder. The family would like to thank Soin Medical Center and Heartland of Beavercreek. The Rev. Jim Foster from Grand Prairie Texas will officiate at Newcomer Funeral Home in Beavercreek. Burial at Woodland Cemetery in Dayton. on October 20, 2017.2
