He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Sylvia Sodder Paxton; one sister, Sandra Tucker of Charleston; one son, Grover Eric Paxton and his wife, Elisabeth, of Richmond, Va; one daughter, Jennie Paxton Henthorn and her husband, Marshall, of St. Albans; three grandchildren, William Paxton, Sylvia Paxton and Andy Henthorn; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Burial will be in Cunningham Memorial Park, St. Albans. on March 19, 2014.3

Henry is survived by his loving wife, Sandra Tucker; daughters, Vonetta Horan, Jacque Stover, Rita Gaylor and Crystal Stepp; son, Henry D. "Hank" Tucker Jr; stepsons, Tim Stricker, Larry Stricker and Mark Stricker; stepdaughter, Rebecca Pritt; sisters, Sarah King and Isabelle Allman; 16 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 16 stepgrandchildren; and 14 stepgreat-grandchildren. The world lost a unique individual when our dad passed away. He was a father, a daddy (to some in heart, if not by birth), a papaw, a teacher, helper, a jokester and a friend to many. The world will never be the same without him. God has us in his hands as we say goodbye to someone who had "all" the answers. The burial will follow the service with military graveside rites and Masonic rites in Elk Hills Memorial Park, Big Chimney. on April 20, 2010.3

Ray is survived by loving wife of 48 years, Inez Carte Milam; sons, Randall (Samantha) Milam; daughters, Tina (PW) Strickland, Billie Rae Huffman; brothers, Robert, Gary, Jeff and Dale Milam; sisters, Marie Carte, Martha Quigley, Mary Slater, Brenda Webb, Nancy McDaniel and Terri Godbey; and his grandchildren that he loved to spend time with Evan Strickland, Emily Huffman, Lilli Woodson, Connor Strickland, Macie Milam. The family would like to thank Dr. Michael Yacoub and the staff in ICU at CAMC Memorial for all they did for the family. Burial will be in the Carte Cemetery, Frame. on August 16, 2015.4

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Hettie Hemmings; three sons, John and Garnet of Belle and Lawrence of Charleston; four daughters, Mrs. Walter Ashley, Mrs. Paul Combow and Mrs. Meg Gregg, all of Belle, and Mrs. Thelma Sheets of Charleston; 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Service will be at Judson Baptist Church at Belle at 2 p.m. tomorrow. Rev. George Pauley, Rev. R. R. Mathews and Rev. Harvey Hendershoott will officiate. Burial will be in Witcher Creek Cemetery under direction of Fidler and Frame Mortuary of Belle. The body will be taken to the home today and will be taken to the church an hour before service time. on May 28, 1950.4

He was a retired supervisor for E. I. duPont Co., Belle, with 37 years of service, charter member, deacon and member of Ruben Ashley Class of the Judson Baptist Church, Belle. Surviving: wife, Mildred; son, Walter M. of Anaheim, Calif; daughters, Mrs. Eva Lee Clendenin and Mrs. Jean Lambert, both of Charleston; brother, Willard of Belle; five grandchildren. Service will be 1 p.m. Monday in Judson Baptist Church with the Rev. William Millar and the Rev. George Pauley officiating. Burial will be in Montgomery Memorial Park. on February 10, 1974.2 He died on February 10, 1974 at Charleston, Kanawha Co., West Virginia, at age 72.2
