Mrs. Holcomb was the wife of Jack Holcomb, a State Department of Highways employe. She was employed by the Commission for Aging in Clay County. She had just started her work day when the accident occurred. She was a member of the Widen Baptist Church and graduated in 1948 from what was then Widen High School. In addition to her husband, she is survived by: daughter, Dianna Lynn, at home; sons Jack Jr. and Jeffrey Allan, both at home; parents, the Rev. and Mrs. J. J. Connor of Widen; sisters, Mrs. Joanne Shamblin of Homer and Mrs. Maxine Russell of Mullins; brothers, Melvin Conner of Ravenswood and Gaylord Conner of Charleston. Service will be 2:30 p.m. Sunday in Widen Baptist Church with the Rev. Ray Baker and the Rev. Cecil Butcher officiating. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery.
