Y., Garland of Copper Hill, Va., Sheldon of Spottsylvania, Va., and Arlie of Quinwood; one brother, Robert Manning of Copper Hill, Va; and 13 grandchildren. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Quinwood Baptist Church with the Rev. Houston Soothe in charge. Burial will be in Wallace Memorial Cemetery at Clintonville. The body will be taken to the home at 3 p.m. Sunday and removed to the church an hour before the service. on April 8, 1973.5

She is also survived by three brothers, Tommy Gearheart and his wife, Mary, of Marion, Henry Gearheart and his wife, Pat, of Bluefield, W. Va., and Danny Bush and his wife, Robin, of Arizona; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Friday, April 2, 2004 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at Lotz Funeral Home, 1001 Franklin Rd., Roanoke. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 3, 2004 at 2 p.m. at Lotz Roanoke Chapel with the Rev. Fred Fryar officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Burial Park. on April 2, 2004.5

Mr. Underwood had served his country in the U.S. Army and was retired from Norfolk and Western Railroad. He loved life, his grandchildren and was very thoughtful of his son-in-law, Terry. Mr. Underwood is survived by his wife, Ann Underwood, to whom he was married on March 29, 1957; two daughters, Candy (Terry) Davis of Mocksville and Robin Underwood of Advance; a brother, Bobby Underwood of Roanoke, Va; five grandchildren, Courtney, Britt, Connie, Ryan and Abby. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, October 5, 2005 at Eaton Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Richard Whiteheart officiating. Burial will be in Rose Cemetery with military graveside rites conducted by the VFW Memorial Honor Guard. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, at Eaton Funeral Home. The family requests that memorials be considered for charity of the donor's choice. The family wishes to express the deepest, heartfelt thanks to the entire staff of Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home, for their loving care. They would also like to thank Baptist Hospital, Rowan Regional Medical Center in Salisbury and the Durham Veterans Hospital. on October 4, 2005.1
