A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM in Fair Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, September 20, 2016 with Elder David Minter officiating. Interment will follow the service in Overlook Cemetery. Mrs. McBride was born in the Spray district of Eden on August 3, 1928 to the late F.W. Thomas and the late Allie Fulcher Thomas. She was a faithful member of Spray Baptist Church. Charlotte was a retiree from Fieldcrest Cannon with over 35 years of service. Mrs. McBride was a former volunteer for Morehead Memorial Hospital. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother that will be greatly missed by all that knew her. Mrs. McBride is survived by her daughters, Denise Hill and husband, Amos of Eden and Linda Lipford and husband, Robin of King, NC; three grandchildren, Kevin (Logan), Kory, and Sandy; three great-grandchildren, Ryan, Peyton and Lena.Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Allen Dillard McBride. The family will receive friends Monday, September 19, 2016 from 6 to 8 PM at Fair Funeral Home and other times at the residence. on September 19, 2016.3

Both of her parents were deceased by the time she was 18 months of age, she was raised by her mother's brother and his wife, the late Charles Henson Hunter and Bessie Mae Dowdy Watkins Hunter. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Perry Crowe, a daughter, Susan Gatrice, a brother Douglas Sarver and a sister, Evelyn Watkins Sowers. She was a loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother. She was a woman of great strength and perseverance; she had a great sense of humor and was a wonderful homemaker. Mrs. Crowe was a good friends and neighbor to all. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends and neighbors. She is survived by her loving and devoted daughters; Brenda K. Crowe and Jennifer Lynn Crowe, her grandchildren whom adored her are Troy C. Price and Shelicia N. Billings and her great granddaughter Natalia E. Carl who put a smile on her face and the twinkle in her eyes. She is also survived by Beverly Whitt whom she loved like a daughter and by her sister, Gertrude Headrick of Pateros Washington, Gerlean Martin of Charlotte Court House, VA and one brother, Wesley Sarver of Sedalia MO. Her brother in law, Preston Crowe and his wife Anne and sister in law, Anna Mae Crowe. Funeral services will be held 3:00 P.M. Saturday, December 3, 2011 from the Burns Wornal Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton with Pastor Meredith Gudger-Raines officiating. Burial will follow in Hall Family Cemetery on the Halls Rodge Road in Princeton. Friends are invited to visit with the family Friday from 6 until 8 PM at the funeral home. Serving as pallbearers will be Stephen Crowe, Tim Blankenship, Butch McPeak, Mitchell Barker, Jackie Barker and Allen Kade. on December 1, 2011.3

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Belview United Methodist Church, conducted by the Rev. Aaron Fitch. Burial will be in the Halls Family Cemetery, Princeton, W.Va. The body will be placed in the Belview United Methodist Church Monday afternoon, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday evening. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Christiansburg Rescue Squad, Box 176, Christiansburg, Va. 24068. Arrangements are being handled by Horne Funeral Service, Christiansburg. on September 18, 2000.2

Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Violet Bee Nichols Reed; one daughter, Gail Marino of Princeton with whom he made his home; two grandchildren, Tommy Bailey and Kim Lytton; two great-grandchildren, Ashley Lytton and Niki Bailey; two stepsons, John and Harold Burcham of Princeton; one sister, June Katheryn Worrell of Halls Ridge; and a special friend, Ralph Wade. Burial will follow in the Hall Family Cemetery on the Halls Ridge Road in Princeton. on April 23, 1998.4

Born in Princeton on July 3, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Walter W. Reed Sr. and Sarah Ella Hall Reed. She attended Oakvale High School. She retired from the Princeton Community Hospital having worked in the housekeeping department. She was a member of the Maranatha Baptist Church in Princeton where she was active in the Adult Sunday School Class and the Joy Fellowship. Mrs. Worrell was a member of the DMA of the Johnston Chapel Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Ernest Watson Dove Jr. and her second husband, Clarence E. Worrell Sr., and three brothers, Walter Reed Jr., Ralph J. Reed and Ernest Reed. Survivors include five children, Larry L. Dove and wife Regina of Princeton, Geraldine Kendall of Petersburg, Va., Janice E. Dove of Sarasota, Fla., Karen Bridges and husband Don, and Clarence E. “Bo” Worrell Jr. and wife Kathy, both of Princeton; 16 grandchildren and two great grandchildren; special son-in-law, Corky Kendall of Petersburg; special niece, Gail Marino of Princeton. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 29, 2006 from the Burns Wornal Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton with the Rev. Wallace Smith and the Rev. Glen Hornbuckle officiating. Burial will follow in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens on the Courthouse Road in Princeton. Serving as pallbearers will be family and friends.
