A lifelong resident of Giles County, he was born September 11, 1957 and was the son of Helen Wilkinson Meredith and the late Frank Miller Meredith. A 1977 graduate of Narrows High School, Timmy was a devoted Green Wave and Virginia Tech Hokies fan. He was employed by Celanese Acetate's Unit 32 in Narrows. A talented artist, he was known for his paintings and decorations. He received the Bell Award from the Narrows PINN Committee on numerous occasions during holidays. He also decorated the 50-yard line at Ragsdale Field in Narrows for many of its home football games, and was a member of the Green and Gold Booster Club. Timmy had a heart of gold and never met a stranger. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of 21 years, Reneé Brumfield Meredith; a daughter, Sami Meredith of Narrows; one brother and his wife, Larry and Patty Meredith of Radford; two sisters and their husbands, Linda and Bob Frazier, and Dreama and Felix Hale, all of Narrows; a sister-in-law and her family, Tina, Shawn and Somer Saladiner, all of Christiansburg; numerous nieces and nephews; and very special friends, Tim Craft, Tony Martin and Angie Lawson. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Narrows. on May 27, 2006.5
