Burial in Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Stanley, KS. Mr. Young was born May 23, 1912 in Stanley, KS; Mrs. Young was born June 25, 1917 in Stanley, KS. Wilbur and Virginia were 95 and 90 years "Young" and had been married over 72 years; they still lived in the home they shared for over 65 years. They both died peacefully in their sleep, laying together side by side, holding hands, and within four hours of each other. Wilbur was a respected, long-time home builder in the KC area; Virginia was involved in many community organizations. She also helped in her husband's business while they raised their family of five. Their children, nieces, nephews, spouses, grandchildren and great grandchildren were able to be with them in their final days. They were special to all that met them and serve as a symbol of true love and commitment to each other and family. Mr. and Mrs. Young are survived by their five children: Laura Evans, Dwight Young, Nancy Gordon, Janet Tracy and Larry Young. In addition, they are survived by eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren; one sister Gerry Hower and sister in law Mae Goodloe. on February 23, 2008.3

He followed his father's footsteps for many years working as a heavy equipment mechanic, and later was employed by Mike's Super Save. Tim was a wonderful woodworker, and loved his home and being there very much. Preceding him in death were his grandparents, Ernest and Ada Basham and Jewell and Lillie Reed; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Billy Ray Lucas and Patricia Tucker; brothersin-law, Donald Maxwell and William Lucas; and uncle, Vern Basham. His surviving family includes his parents, Edsel and Mary Basham; wife, Patricia Basham; stepchildren, Daniel, Jonathan, Michelle, and Kevin Moore; siblings, Sherry Maxwell and Terry Basham and wife, Kathy; grandchildren, Ashley, Zachary, Isaac, Hunter, Tina Paige, and a very special grandson, Jacob; nephews and nieces, Jeremy Basham and wife, April, Stephanie Alderson and husband, Bill, Jennifer Moles and husband, Kourtney, Jonathan Maxwell and wife, Mindy, and Joshua Maxwell; great-nephews and great-nieces, London and Tinley Basham, Grant and Erika Alderson, and Audrey Moles; many very special aunts and uncles; and numerous other family members. Burial will follow at Sherwood Memorial Park. on April 19, 2011.1

Liesa Kay Whitlow Liesa Whitlow Hoback Halsey, 42, of Yellow Sulfur Road, Christiansburg, Virginia died unexpectedly, Saturday, April 16, 2011 at her home. Born June 21, 1968 in Bluefield, she is the daughter of Aubrey and Julana Quesenberry Whitlow of Halls Ridge Road, near Princeton. Liesa was a graduate of Granite Christian Academy in Wytheville, Virginia. Liesa will be remembered for her warm smile and humor along with her love for animals. Leisa was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, James (Jim) Aubrey and Clara Turner Whitlow and her maternal grandparents Thomas Boyd and Mildred Whittaker Quesenberry. She was also preceded in death by her stepson Garrett Halsey. Survivors include her husband charles Halsey of the home, her daughter Krista Hoback of Wytheville, VA. Krista's father David Hoback and her step daughter Leah Halsey of Marion VA., her parents, Aubrey and Julana Whitlow and her brother and sister in law A. J. and Stephanie Whitlow and their children Lane and Hailey of Cripple Creek, VA. Liesa is also survived by her puppies which she loved very much.2 Her married name was Halsey.3 She married Charles Halsey.3 Liesa Kay Whitlow was born on June 21, 1968 at Bluefield, Mercer Co., West Virginia.1,2 As of November 5, 1987,her married name was Hoback.1 She married David Anthony Hoback on November 5, 1987 at Wythe Co., Virginia.3,1 Liesa Kay Whitlow and David Anthony Hoback were divorced on December 30, 1996 at Wythe Co., Virginia.4 Liesa Kay Whitlow died on April 16, 2011 at Christiansburg, Montgomery Co., Virginia, at age 42.2,5
