Bill married Allie C. Boggs on May 10, 1964, and she preceded him in death June 14, 2008. He is survived by a daughter, Renee Nickel of Farrell, Pa; four grandchildren, Jones W. Philson, Jacob "Jake" Philson, Shayna Nickel and Adam Nickel; two sisters, Evelyne McLaughlin and late husband Donald of Procious, and Charlotte Steed and husband Jim of Charleston; one brother, Roland Eagle and wife Patty of Charleston. He was preceded in death by his mother, Adelyn (Joe) Dawson; his father, Bircher (Corda Goad) Eagle; his wife, Allie; a daughter, Carol Ann Eagle; a grandson, Kenneth Nickel; and a sister, Carol Ann Eagle. Interment will be at Mount Washington Cemetery, Jefferson Twp. on April 5, 2009.3

His days were spent with family, friends, and music until the last. Jim never met a stranger and his generous heart and teasing nature brought joy to so many. He was ushered into heaven by many loved ones that had passed before him. Jim faithfully attended Unity Gospel Tabernacle at Stinson, West Virginia, and shared his love of music with school children at Clay County Middle School. He is survived by his loving wife, Jeanne, of fifty-six years, son Eric (Vicky Vance), daughter Kara (Brett Stover), daughter Julia (George Wilkinson) and multiple grand and great-grandchildren, sister Betty McCart, sister Dean George, brother Bill, and sister Carol Fluhr plus a host of in-laws, nieces, nephews, and longtime friends. A graveside service will be held at Ovapa Church of God Cemetery. on March 19, 2021.2

Wilma Dobbins of Montgomery, Shelley Edwards of Procious, and Lisa Lewis of Clay. He was a proud grandfather of one granddaughter, Gracen Samples; and five grandsons, Zachary, Alex, and Matthew Keiffer, and Christopher and Joshua Richards. There will be a graveside service in A. J. Samples Cemetery, Procious. on December 13, 2001.2
