He is survived by his parents, Leslie and Helen Nicholson; his wife, Karen Nicholson; stepson, Adam Manning; two sisters, Rebecca Brown and Elaine McBennett; two brothers, John Nicholson and James Nicholson; three nephews; two nieces; and his special companions, his dogs, Shiva and Ralph. Interment will follow in Restvale Cemetery, Floyd, Va. on May 18, 2006.1

     Michael Wayne Holland Michael Wayne Holland, 72, of Boones Mill, Virginia, went to his Heavenly Home on Wednesday, December 22, 2021. He was born on July 11, 1949. Michael was married to his wife, Vickie, for 51 years and lived in the Naff Community for 45 years. He was a long-time member of the Cedar Bluff Church. Michael loved his family and always made sure that they knew that each time they said goodbye. He will be deeply missed by all that knew him. Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Howard Holland and Marie Chesley Daniel; sister, Patricia Yates Mitchell; and brothers-in-law, Phillip, Clarence, and Kenneth Woods. Daughter- in- law Cindy Gardner Holland. He is survived by his loving wife, Vickie Woods Holland; children, Donna (Lonnie) Phillips and Joe Holland; grandchildren, Josh (Jenna) Mason, Darrell (Amber) Duncan, Aaron Duncan, Amber Goldenbaum, Briana Muse, Taylor (Jonathan) Sallee, and Sarah Hodges; great-grandchildren, Luke and Sadie Mason, Darrell III and Jade Duncan, Jaxon Sallee, and Kyleigh and Anthony Goldenbaum; brothers, Jerry (Louise) Holland and Robert (Sarah) Holland; and sister, Linda (Bobby).4 He was born on July 11, 1949 at Roanoke, Virginia.2,4 He married Vickie Renia Woods on November 28, 1970 at Eden, Rockingham Co., North Carolina.3,4 Michael Wayne Holland died on December 22, 2021 at Virginia at age 72.4
