Mrs. Hale was a member of the former Trinity Baptist Church in Lorain, where she was the sunshine chairman of Ladies' Missionary Society. At the time of her death, she was a member of First Baptist Church in Lorain, where she was active in Senior Saints and the ladies missionary group AMOMA. A homemaker, she enjoyed baking cookies and planting flowers. Survivors include a daughter, Ann Bass of Amherst; five grandchildren; eight greatgrandchildren; and sisters Myrtle Copley of Abingdon, Va., and Lois Lucas of Huntington, W.Va. W. Jr., and Mary Sledd, Rocky Mount; five sisters and three brothers-in-law, Serena Matthews, Callaway, Norma Jean Cootes, Cocoa Beach, Fla., Ethel and Earl Scott, Boones Mill, Ceil and Fred Bussey, Eva and Albert Ashworth, all of Rocky Mount, and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m., Friday in Flora Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Gary Milstead and Rev. A. Dave Snead officiating.
