Surviving are his widow; two daughters, Mrs. Carolyn Kerkove and Mrs. Marilyn Glandon, both of Sigourney; 10 grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Jessie Homan of Webster and Mrs. Gladys Richman of Oskaloosa; and one brother, Fred of Sigourney. He was preceded in death by one granddaughter, one brother and two sisters. The service will be Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at Holm Funeral Home, with the Rev. Leonard Leslie officiating. Burial will be in Pennington Cemetery. on November 4, 1974.3

The couple from 1952 to 1953 were administrators of the Davis County Care Facility in Bloomfield, Iowa. The couple moved to Primghar in 1954, where they served as administrators of the OBrien Care Facility for 32 years retiring in 1986. After their retirement the couple made their home in Primghar. Maxine started Maxs Unique Shop which she operated for several years. Her husband preceded her in death on October 25, 2001 in Primghar. She remained in Primghar and moved with her daughter to Minnesota for a short time before moving back to Iowa and made her home at Fieldcrest Assisted Living in Sheldon. On October 17, 2014, she became a resident of the Prairie View Retirement Home in Sanborn. She passed away at Prairie View on Wednesday, October 28, 2015 reaching the age of 88 years, 7 months and 26 days. She was a member of the United Church of Primghar and enjoyed sewing. Maxine is survived by her daughter, Linda Strubbe of Sanborn, Iowa; three grandsons and their wives, Stewart and Stephanie Strubbe of Sanborn, Iowa; Shawn and Dannelle Strubbe of Paullina, Iowa and Shane and Rebecca Strubbe of Conway, Missouri; nine great grandchildren, Jordan, Sydney, Payton, Alyssa, Ethan, Dylan, Camryn, Grace and Emily; one brother, Richard Homan of Keswick, Iowa; one sister, Marjorie Thrasher of Staples, Minnesota; also other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, two brothers, Edward and Dale Homan.3 She was buried at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Primghar, O'Brien Co., Iowa.6 She was born on March 2, 1927 at Sigourney, Keokuk Co., Iowa.3 As of September 1, 1946,her married name was Lemley.2 She married Floyd Lynn Lemley on September 1, 1946 at Sigourney, Keokuk Co., Iowa.7,2,3,6 Edna Maxine Homan died on October 28, 2015 at Sanborn, O'Brien Co., Iowa, at age 88.3

Judy Ann Quesenberry Judy Ann Quesenberry Epperly, 70, of Oak Hill, WV died on Saturday, February 28, 2015 at Plateau Medical Center in Oak Hill, WV. Born July 16, 1944 at Giles County, VA she was the daughter of Claud Quesenberry of Oak Hill, WV and the late Sylvia Ann Frazier Quesenberry. She was a retired saleswoman for Sears Monument. Her husband, Jerry W. Epperly and a brother, Rodney Quesenberry preceded her in death. In addition to her father Judy leaves behind one son, Lee Lafferty of Oak Hill; two daughters, Paula Reid of Beckley and Claudia Kania of Oak Hill; stepsons, Jerry Lee Epperly of Oak Hill and Charles Epperly of Oak Hill; and a sister, Joyce Cobb of Oak Hill. She is also survived by grandchildren, Tiffany Phillips, Charley Lilly, Chase Lafferty, Jacob Lafferty, Hannah Kania, Teddy Kania and Courtney Carter; great grandchildren, Candence Reid, Cooper Phillips, Barkley Phillips, Aniston Phillips, Molly Jo Kania and Olivia Kania; and numerous nieces and nephews. Ron Richards officiating and where the family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until time of the service. Burial will follow in High Lawn Memorial Park with military rites conducted by the Oak Hill VFW Post 3110. on February 10, 2012.6
