A funeral will be conducted Friday at 1 p.m. in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Bridge Chapel, by Pastor R.C. Callahan. Burial will follow in Chesapeake Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends in the funeral home Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. on July 25, 2007.³

Slate Trooper L. P. Mullins said Baker was driving a 1938 model truck loaded with lime. The truck rolled several times going down the embankment, and landed upright. An investigation is being conducted to determine whether the driver was killed in the accident, or if he suffered a heart attack. Mullins quoted an eyewitness as saying the truck was traveling only 20 miles an hour when it left the road. Baker's death — if recorded as a traffic fatality — will be Mercer County's 10th such fatality this year. Baker was born in Monroe County Nov. 2, 1889. Survivors include his wife, Grace Graham Baker; five sons, Ralph of Orlando, Fla., Lansins of Cocoa, Fla., George Jr. of Saymaria, N.Y., Eddie B. of Culver City, Calif., and Johnny of Princeton; three daughters, Mrs. Madeline Piskham of Saymaria, N.Y., Mrs. Roy Green of Engala, Fla., and Mrs. Margaret Tyree of Princeton; and two brothers, Oscar of Alderson and Harry Baker of Marie; and one sister, Mrs. M. S. Raines of Princeton. The body is at Seaver Mortuary in Princeton. on September 24, 1958.⁵
