Mollette and husband Ronald and Eva Mae Repass and husband Anthony, all of Chesapeake; a brother, Ernest Martin of Roanoke; 22 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. A funeral will be conducted Friday at 1 p.m. in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Bridge Chapel, by Pastor R.C. Callahan. Burial will follow in Chesapeake Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends in the funeral home Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. on July 25, 2007.3

Slate Trooper L. P. Mullins said Baker was driving a 1938 model truck loaded with lime. The truck rolled several times going down the embankment, and landed upright. An investigation is being conducted to determine whether the driver was killed in the accident, or if he suffered a heart attack. Mullins quoted an eyewitness as saying the truck was traveling only 20 miles an hour when it left the road. Baker's death — if recorded as a traffic fatality — will be Mercer County's 10th such fatality this year. Baker was born in Monroe County Nov. 2, 1889. Survivors include his wife, Grace Graham Baker; five sons, Ralph of Orlando, Fla., Lansins of Cocoa, Fla., George Jr. of Saymaria, N.Y., Eddie B. of Culver City, Calif., and Johnny of Princeton; three daughters, Mrs. Madeline Piskham of Saymaria, N.Y., Mrs. Roy Green of Engala, Fla., and Mrs. Margaret Tyree of Princeton; and two brothers, Oscar of Alderson and Harry Baker of Marie; and one sister, Mrs. M. S. Raines of Princeton. The body is at Seaver Mortuary in Princeton. on September 24, 1958.5

     Edna Falls Edna F. Iddings, 98, of Hinton went home to be with the Lord, Friday May 22, 2020 at the Peyton House in Lewisburg following a short illness. Born September 5, 1921 in Peterstown, she was a daughter of the late William Henry and Pearl Thornton Falls. Edna was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Richmond, VA where she served as the church secretary and in recent years attended the Church of the Living God at Madams Creek in Hinton. She aspired to participate during World War II and became a First Class Machinist, building airplane parts for her country as a civilian. Edna was a co-founder of the Braille Circulating Library and was a former legal secretary in Richmond, VA. At the age of 94 Edna learned the art of camping, she also enjoyed being the “grandma” of the Family and Friends Soup Kitchen and enjoyed participating in all church activities. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roscoe M. Iddings; one son, Marvin Lee Iddings; four brothers, Junior, Clyde, Oren and Stanford Falls and one sister, Myrtle Hawks. Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Ron Iddings and wife Linda of Hinton; three grandchildren, Robert W. Iddings, Monroe W. Church and Tina M. Foster; four great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; one sister, Bernice Safritt of VA and numerous nephews and nieces whom she loved dearly.2 She was buried at New Hope Church Cemetery, Monroe Co., West Virginia.3 She was born on September 5, 1921 at Peterstown, Monroe Co., West Virginia.4,2 As of September 15, 1943,her married name was Iddings.1 She married Roscoe Marvin Iddings, son of William Jasper "Willie" Iddings and Daisy Blaine Meadows, on September 15, 1943 at Summers Co., West Virginia.1,2,5 Edna Falls died on May 22, 2020 at Lewisburg, Greenbrier Co., West Virginia, at age 98.2

Mr. Lawrence retired from Pocahontas Fuel Co. at Itmann and was a member of the United Mine Workers of America, Local 9690. He was of the Pentecostal faith and enjoyed gardening. He was preceded in death by a son, Dallas Lawrence; a grandson, Mark Lawrence; three brothers, Russell Lawrence, Harless Lawrence and Zed Lawrence; a sister, Grace Young. Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Ruth Fox Lawrence; two sons, Robert Lawrence and Homer Lawrence and his wife, Shelby, all of Princeton; three grandchildren, Robert Dwayne Lawrence, Phillip Lawrence and Deborah Anderson; six great-grandchildren; a brother, Ryan Lawrence of Princeton; and a sister, Hazel Martin of Columbus, Ohio. Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Rowland H. Bailey Funeral Chapel of Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home, Princeton, with the Revs. James Hebb and David Barnett officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Princeton. on November 12, 1999.7

She had lived in Princeton, most of her life except for a short time she lived in Lerona and Summers Co. She was preceded in death by her husband Zed Wesley Lawrence; and two brothers, Mose McClellan Hall and James Charles Hall. Survivors include two daughters, Rebecca Ann Vogt of Speedway, and Caroline M. Lawrence of Princeton ; two grandchildren, William Charles Vogt III of Lorton, Va., and Ruthanna Mahoney of Princeton; two sisters, Wanza Kirkman of Danville, Va., and Betty Wolfe and husband John of Roanoke; and one brother, Bobby Hall and wife Linda of Greensboro, N.C. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday at the George W. Seaver Chapel of Seaver Funeral Home, Princeton, with Revs. Alan Mullins and Mark Garner officiating. Burial will follow at Browns Chapel Cemetery, Summers County. on April 29, 1999.4
