Gerald Allen Call Jr. Gerald Allen Call, Jr., 76, of Charlotte, North Carolina passed away on Saturday, June 3, 2023 at Charlotte Rehabilitation Center. He was born on February 18, 1947 in Richmond, Virginia to the late Gerald Allen Call, Sr. (Jack) and Frances Hall Call. His family moved to Bluefield, West Virginia when he was a young child, and later to Charlotte when he was 14. Gerald attended Pfeiffer College and subsequently worked as an accountant in his father’s businesses, Jack Call Piano Company of Charlotte and Call Manufacturing Company of Monroe, North Carolina. Gerald then became self-employed as a business consultant in Computer Information Technology until his retirement. Gerald was preceded in death in 2017 by his daughter Kelly Blaine Call and in 2023 by his brother, Frank Arnold Call. He is survived by three sisters, Barbara Call McGowan of Southern Pines, North Carolina, and Donna Faye Call and Sharon Mae Call, both of Charlotte. Gerald was an avid sports fan, and particularly loved college and professional football. He played high school football and loved playing pool throughout his life. He enjoyed blue grass and folk music, especially the works of Bob Dylan.2 He was born on February 18, 1947 at West Virginia.1,2 He died on June 3, 2023 at Charlotte, Mecklenburg Co., North Carolina, at age 76.2

Lynette Jane Moricle Mrs. Lynette Jane Moricle Morrison, age 58 of Stuart, passed away Monday, February 24, 2014 at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. She was born on June 17, 1955 in Patrick County. She had been a lab technician at Pioneer Community Hospital (formerly R.J. Reynolds Memorial Hospital) for 35 years, and more recently at Schiffert Health Center at Virginia Tech. She was very involved in the children's ministry at Sycamore Baptist Church, was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and aunt, and had a great love for animals. She was preceded in death by her father, Lane Akers Moricle, Sr. Mrs. Morrison is survived by her husband, Ricky Morrison of the home; three sons and a daughter-in-law, Jansen Morrison, Braeden Morrison, Brad and Kricket Morrison, all of Stuart; one granddaughter, Kinley Morrison; her mother, Jo Moricle of Woolwine; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Butch Moricle of Germanton, North Carolina, Buddy and Debbie Moricle of Woolwine; a nephew, Dusty Moricle and wife, Jessica of Rocky Mount; a niece, Shasta Harbour and husband, Jamie of Wilkesboro, North Carolina; three great-nieces , Lettie Moricle, Valley Harbour and Libby Harbour; a great-nephew, Sam Harbour; and her cat, Owen. Funeral services for Mrs. Morrison will be held at Sycamore Baptist Church with Rev. Gerald Melton officiating.
