Mr. B. was born in Arlington, Mass. The former Boy Scout Leader served his country in the U.S. Air Force before and during the Korean Conflict. After the war, Mr. Blomberg became an Aircraft Mechanics Instructor in New England. Moving to Roanoke in 1967, Mr. Blomberg became the head of the Automotive Technologies Department at Virginia Western Community College. He received his Masters Degree from Virginia Tech. Mr. Blomberg was a past Deacon at Salem Presbyterian Church. Surviving are his wife, Phyllis; his two sons and their spouses, Al and his wife Becky, Chris and his wife Ann; a stepdaughter, Tracy Dieber and her husband George, of Forest; and six grandchildren. Interment will follow in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park with full military honors by V.F.W. Post 1264. on September 13, 1999.²
