David Lee Ingram was buried at Old Liberty Cemetery, Route 122, 0.2 miles south of Rt. 697, Burnt Chimney, Franklin Co., Virginia.2 He Our hearts are heavy as we share the passing of our dear and gentle soul, David Lee Ingram, who peacefully entered the arms of his Lord at 3:48 a.m. on Sunday, November 9, 2025. David was a light in this world — kind, tender-hearted, and full of quiet grace. He was born July 10, 1944, a son of the late Henry Woody Ingram and Charlotte Belle Ingram. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his dear siblings, Henry Daniel Ingram and Joan Eleanor Ringrose. He leaves behind a family who adored him deeply: his devoted son, David Thomas Ingram, and cherished daughter-in-law, Dorothy Lumsden Ingram; his beloved stepdaughter, Courtney Manokian, and her husband, Armen; his loving sister, Ida Belle Rose, and her husband, David; and his caring sister-in-law, Bonnie J. Ingram. David’s circle of love also includes a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends who will forever treasure his kindness, humor, and gentle spirit. David had a servant’s heart — always the first to lend a hand, offer a meal, or share a smile. His generosity came as naturally as breathing; he found joy in giving, comforting, and caring for others. He had a special tenderness for all of God’s creatures and could often be found feeding birds, stray cats, or any furry visitor in need of a little love. A wonderful cook and gracious host, David found happiness in bringing people together. His kitchen was a gathering place where laughter flowed as freely as the coffee and where no one ever left hungry or unnoticed. Whether it was a warm slice of cake, a cold soda, or one of his famous home-cooked meals, David made everyone feel like family. He also had a delightful sense of humor and an easy laugh that brightened any room. His quick wit and playful teasing made even ordinary moments memorable. Above all, David’s greatest joy was his son, David, whom he loved with his whole heart. His devotion as a father was unwavering, his pride boundless, and his love eternal. David lived his faith not just in words but in deeds — humble, kind, and steadfast in his care for others. He was a man of God who quietly embodied the love of Christ every day of his life. Though our hearts ache with loss, we rejoice in knowing that his gentle spirit is at peace, surrounded by the love of those who went before him. David’s kindness, laughter, and light will forever live on in the hearts of those he touched. Graveside service will be held at Old Liberty Cemetery, in Burnt Chimney, VA.2 He was born on July 10, 1944 at Roanoke, Virginia.2,3 He died on November 9, 2025 at Virginia at age 81.2
