Larry Wayne Holdren Sr. Larry Wayne Holdren, Sr., 69, of Goodview, VA formerly of Princeton passed away peacefully at his home December 24, 2016. He was born on December 15, 1947 to Bottie A. and Georgia Six Holdren. Larry graduated from Princeton High School. He worked for Norfolk Western Railroad from which he retired. Larry is preceded in death by his parents the late Bottie A. Holdren and Georgia B. Six Holdren, and his daughter Suzette Jean Holdren. He is survived by his loving and devoted son with whom he lived Larry Wayne Holdren II and his children Haley and Clayton; and his beautiful daughter who he was very proud of Rissie Lurinda Murphy and her husband Nicholas and their children Colin and Jasper. Big Larry is also survived by his brothers Mikel Holdren of Princeton, WV, Rodney Holdren and his wife Susan of NC, and Todd Holdren and his wife Melissa of Yorktown, VA., as well as, numerous special nieces, nephews, and friends.2 He was born on December 15, 1947 at West Virginia.1,2 He married Patty Kay Robinette, daughter of Julius Lewis Robinette Jr. and Lorena Ernestine Swim, on February 2, 1983 at Pearisburg, Giles Co., Virginia.1 Larry Wayne Holdren Sr. died on December 24, 2016 at Goodview, Bedford Co., Virginia, at age 69.2

Those left to cherish her fun loving life is her loving husband of 28 wonderful years, Timothy Wade Clay of Saukville; one daughter, Rebekah Elizabeth; one granddaughter, Searya Madysen; one sister, Royceanne Childers and her fiance Ray Toler; one brother, Joe Michael Bond; her in-laws, Teddy and Margaret Clay that loved her dearly; brother-in-law, David Russell and his wife Jona Clay of Alabama. Toni also had a great and fun loving sister-in-law, Teresa Rae. Toni had some special friends that were like family, Gary Poindexter and family, Rick Rezzonico and family, Kevin Grogg and family Danny Lumbo and family, Kevin Hedinger and family, Ron Mayhew and family, Darren Thomas and family, Kathy and Larry Hylton and family. Toni loved the Wyoming East Warrior Football Team and loved her beloved Marshall University Football Team and tailgating with her beloved friends and family. on September 2, 2012.2

Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton. Pallbearers will be Randolph Honaker, Ron Pennington, Jim Gilbert, Joe White, Franklin Long and Clarence Pritchett. on April 30, 2001.3

In addition to her parents, her husband, Homer C. Barton preceded her in death. Survivors include one son, Daryl C. Barton and wife, Tammy of Princeton; twin granddaughters, Victoria Barton and Veronica Barton of Princeton; one sister, Martha Hill and husband, Steve of Monroe, N.C; and one brother, Jerry Elmore of Smithburg, Md. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton. on May 27, 2012.5

Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Hazel Elmore Barton of Princeton; one son, Daryl Barton and wife, Tammy, of Princeton; twin granddaughters, Victoria and Veronica Barton, both of Princeton; three brothers, Harry Barton of Scott’s Depot, Earl Ray Barton of Medford, Ore., and Burl Kay Barton of Baltimore, Md. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton. Military graveside rites will be conducted by the Sandy River American Legion Post 175 and the Mercer County Veterans Council. Pallbearers will be Clarence Biggs, Randolph Honaker, Jim Gilbert, Roscoe Harry, Joe White and Junior Terry. on January 1, 1999.4
