Smith, on July 8, 1945 at Camden Co., North Carolina.1 Dorothy Pearline Parrish and Marvin Eugene Hamblin were divorced on December 29, 1966 at Newport News, Virginia.3 Dorothy Pearline Parrish died on September 19, 2001 at Yorktown, York Co., Virginia, at age 76.4,2,5 She Dorothy Pearline Parrish, 76, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2001, at York Convalescent Center. She was a native of Four Oaks, N.C., and had made her home on the Peninsula for 60 years. Ms. Parrish retired as the chief telephone operator for the Tactical Air Command at Langley Air Force Base in 1978 with 28 years of service. She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. She is survived by her two daughters, E. Jean Ivey and her husband, Garry Ivey Jr., of Newport News, and Bonnie Lynn Idle and her husband, Gary Idle, of Lorton; her brother, Pete Parrish of Four Oaks, N.C; two sisters, Florine Massengill of Four Oaks, N.C., and Mary Bruce of Boise, Ala; four grandchildren, Angie Ivey Owens of Hampton, Tammy Ivey Clark of Newport News, David Sanders Idle of Fairfax and Jessica Lynn Idle of Lorton; and two great-grandchildren, Kameron Clark and Olivia Clark, both of Newport News. Interment will follow in Peninsula Memorial Park. on September 21, 2001.2

Smith, on August 18, 1968 at Newport News, Virginia.3,1 Ellie Louise Lingafelt died on February 18, 2008 at Seaford, York Co., Virginia, at age 93.2,1 She SEAFORD - Ellie Louise Hamblin, 93, passed away Monday, Feb. 18, 2008, at home surrounded by her loving husband and family after a long battle with Alzheimer's Disease. Born Feb. 10, 1915, in Morganton, N.C., she was a longtime resident of the Seaford community. She was an active member of Zion Methodist Church and the Woman's Club of Seaford. Additionally, she was an avid golfer and won many trophies over the years and volunteered for Meals on Wheels and the American Red Cross. Mrs. Hamblin was preceded in death by her parents, William and Mattie Lingafelt; her brothers, William Ned, Coy, Bill, Robert, Eugene and Charles Lingafelt; her sisters, Mae Little, Ruby Coniglio, Lucille Zarr and Betty Thomas. She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Marvin Eugene Hamblin; her daughter, Doris Schascheck; her sister, Mary Sue Barber and her husband, Ed; her brother, Ben M. Lingafelt, and his wife, Grace; six granddaughters, 15 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren. Special thanks to her caregivers, Beverly Crocket, Carrie Selby and Riverside Hospice. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 21, at Zion United Methodist Church, 2109 Seaford Road, Seaford, followed by funeral services at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. on February 20, 2008.1

She is survived by her husband, Garry Ivey Jr; her two devoted daughters, Angela Jean Ivey-Owens and her husband, Lee of Newport News and Tammy Ivey Clark and her husband, Danny of Newport News; the ultimate loves of her life, her grandchildren, Kameron, Olivia and Riley 'Peanut'; and her goat, Rea Rea and her dog, Maggie; her father, Marvin Hamblin of Seaford; and her sister, Bonnie Idle of Lorton. on May 28, 2009.3
