Jim was a retired captain for the City of St. Albans Fire Department with 30 years of service, and after his retirement he helped his sons at the St. Albans Gun and Archery Shop. He was a devout Christian and member of Green Valley Church of God, St. Albans. Surviving are his loving wife of 63 years, Margaret Beane; sons and daughters-in-law, Jeff and Karen Beane of St. Albans and Mark and Cindy Beane of Tornado; and sister, Carolyn Ellis of St. Albans. Also surviving are his grandchildren, Jeremy, Josh, Sarah and Kim, and great-grandchildren, Brayden and Jackson. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, April 15, at Bartlett-Chapman Funeral Home, St. Albans, with Pastor David Bowen and Pastor Tom Coll officiating. Burial will be in Cunningham Memorial Park, St. Albans. on April 17, 2016.5
