He was preceded in death by his parents, Ida Mae and Neal Wolver and his wife, Patty Wolver. on July 2, 2006.2

Survivors include her husband, Leo, Garden City, Mo; a son, Hal, Harrisonville, Mo; two grandchildren; one brother, Dan Nehring, Pleasant Grove, Utah; three sisters, Jimmeite Drier, Hubbard, Junace Brandt, Branson, Mo. and Ellen Marie Megan, Cedar Rapids. on February 20, 1989.1

Griffin was driving on 1-25 near near Pikes Peak International Raceway when a rear tire blew out at 85 mph in a 75-mph zone. She tried to slow the truck, but it went off the road and rolled. Griffin and Beerbower, who was sitting next to her, were thrown out. Neither wore seat belts. A second passenger, Thomas Gausvik, 35, was injured. Investigators said Griffin had been drinking. on January 4, 2004.4
