Barbara Ann Lindsey On Sunday, Dec. 23, 2018, Barbara Ann Ohl, loving wife, mother of three children, and grandmother of six children, passed away at the age of 88. Barbara was born on Dec. 14, 1930, in Lock Haven to Robert Charles Franklin and Nellie Johnson Lindsey née Bickel. Raised in Woolrich, she graduated from Lock Haven High School in 1948. On March 6, 1951, Barbara married the love of her life, Henry Richard “Dick” Ohl. They raised three children in Woolrich: Robert, William “Carey” and Julie Ohl. She was a member of Woolrich United Methodist Church and worked as a seamstress at the Woolrich Woolen Mills and later at the Woolrich Outlet. Barbara was an avid outdoorswoman, passing her love of hunting and fishing on to her children and grandchildren. She also loved the Philadelphia Phillies, birdwatching, and sewing – and could often be found knitting together hats and gloves for family members and new additions to the community. Before her husband Dick passed away, the two spent every Saturday taking day trips around Pennsylvania – always taking the back road so they could spend quality time and marvel at the sights. In her earlier years, Barbara loved to bowl, participating in leagues in Woolrich, Linden and Dunnstown. She was known for her unconditional kindness, quick wit and fondness for long chats on her front porch swing. Barbara loved having her family at the house and always had ready lots of food, tales of her mischievous childhood growing up in Woolrich and jokes that had the entire room laughing. She will be remembered for her big heart and infectious smile. Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Dick, and her brother, Ronald W. Lindsey. She is survived by: her son Robert and his wife Cindy, née Wise, and their two sons Jon and Zachary; her son Carey and his wife Diana, née Roth, and their two children Alissa and Brice; and her daughter Julie and her husband Jeffrey Bucks and their two children Lindsey and William Robert.
