     Robert F. Beabout Lt. Robert F. Beabout, Ret. U.S. Navy, 74, died Monday, August 10, 2009, at St. Francis Hospital South after a long illness with pulmonary fibrosis. He was a resident of Indianapolis. He was born April 21, 1935, in Paris, IL.. His parents were Jesse and Sophia (Meloy) Beabout. He married Alta L. Hood on October 9, 1954. She survives. Other survivors include a son, Keith B. (Cindy) Beabout of Indianapolis; a daughter, Kimberly S. Zipper of Greenwood; two brothers, Jesse (Dorothy) Beabout of Indianapolis, Dennis (Frances) Beabout of New Port Richey, Fl; four grandchildren, Jason & Brandon Zipper, Tiffany & Alexander Beabout. He was preceded in death by a sister, Redyth Stevens. He was employed for 22 years by U. S. Navy as a First Lieutenant, communication technician, having retired in 1976. After retiring from the military, Robert worked for Tektronix Co. and the Wave Tek Corp. in Indianapolis.¹ He was buried at Greenwood Cemetery, Greenwood, Johnson Co., Indiana.^2,3 His Social Security Number was 337-28-9998.⁸ He was born on April 21, 1935 at Paris, Edgar Co., Illinois.^1,3,8 He married Alta Louise Hood on October 9, 1954.^1,3,4,2 Robert F.      Alta Louise Hood Alta Louise Beabout of Greenwood passed away on Tuesday, December 11, 2018. She was 82 years old. Alta was born in Paris, Illinois on September 12, 1936. She married Robert Beabout on October 9, 1954 and enjoyed 54 years together until his passing on August 10, 2009. Together, Robert and Alta raised two children, Keith and Kim, both of whom survive. She was an Avon Lady for many years, and also created floral arrangements, and loved gardening. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She is survived by her son, Keith Beabout (Cindy), and daughter Kimberly Zipper; grandchildren, Jason and Brandon Zipper, Tiffany Bell, and Alexander Beabout, as well as six great-grandchildren. Visitation for Alta Beabout is Sunday, December 16 from 3:00-7:00 p.m. at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral and Cremation Service, Franklin Township Chapel, 5950 E. Thompson Rd., Indianapolis 46237. Funeral services are Monday, December 17, at 1:00 p.m. with one additional hour of visitation prior to the service at the funeral home. She was born in Parke County, IN and lived in Muncie, IN for 30 years where she worked at Ball State University for 21 years as the secretary of vice president Byrell. She was a member of the Christian Church of Holiday and the Eastern Star. Survivors include son, David Paul Beabout and wife, Florence, Muncie, IN; son, Dennis Michael Beabout and wife, Young Hui, Dover, DE; daughter, Kay Frances Sanders, New Port Richey, FL; and sisters, June Kloster, Bartow, FL, Sue Barry, Plainfield, IN, Anne James, Plainfield, IN; 12 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Dennis Wayne Beabout, New Port Richey, FL and son, Richard Alan Beabout, Muncie, IN. Services will be held 12 pm Feb. 8 at Dobies Funeral Home, Congress Chapel, New Port Richey. Burial will follow at Meadowlawn Cemetery, New Port Richey. on February 2, 2017.³

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday in Harper-Swickard Funeral Home, Charleston, with visitation 4 to 6 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday. Burial will be in Mound Cemetery, Charleston. Memorials: East Harrison Street Church of God. Mr. Stevens was born in Coles County, son of Benjamin and Lucy Stevens. He was a cabinet maker, member of East Harrison Street Church of God and a World War II veteran. He married Redyth Beabout in 1940. She died in 1979. Surviving are his daughter, Mrs. Harry (Shirley) Rardin of Fort Worth, Texas; two grandchildren. One brother and two sisters preceded him in death. on September 11, 1981.³

Burial will be in Blue Grass Cemetery, Martinsville. She was born June 22, 1908 in Martinsville, the daughter of Jesse and Amanda McNulty Veach. She married Sylvan Hazen in 1926. He died in 1996. Surviving are one son, Harold Hazen of Pekin; two daughters, Mary Ann Kline of Kingfisher, Okla., and Shirley Blanchard of Casey; one sister, Mary Ennis of Oilfield; 12 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and five great-greatgrandchildren. She was preceded in death by four brothers and one sister. Mrs. Hazen was a homemaker and a member of the Moriah Church of God. on August 26, 1999.⁴
