In 1964, Mr. Whisner moved to Indian Harbour Beach, where he owned and operated the Atlantic Insurance Agency until retirement. Survivors include his wife, Eileen Whisner of Indian Harbour Beach; sons, Timothy Whisner of Palm Beach Gardens and Thomas Whisner of Melbourne; daughter, Christine Druhan of Winter Park; stepmother, Leota Whisner of Melbourne; and two grandchildren. on June 24, 1990.1 He died on July 19, 1990 at Warren, Warren Co., Pennsylvania, at age 73.1,2,6,8

Tom served honorably in the U.S. Army and the Florida National Guard. on January 21, 2010.2

On March 2, 1947, he was united in marriage to Mary Lee Swain at the United Methodist Church in Carthage. Robert was an active member of the church, serving as Sunday school teacher for many years and also as a certified lay minister in Carthage and other surrounding churches. He was active in the local schools serving on the board for more than 20 years, many of those as board president. He was instrumental in getting the school cafeteria built. Robert helped build the 4-H barns in Carthage and served on the Farm Bureau board for many years. He was a lifelong farmer and enjoyed working with animals. He also had worked as a carpenter with Roger Turner and as a mail carrier during the Christmas season. Robert is survived by his wife, Mary Lee Johnson of Carthage; three children, Patty (Michael) Wiegers of Lewistown, Ill., Linda Sue Johnson of Carthage and Roger (Linda L.) Johnson of Albany, Ill; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Larry Edward Johnson; three half-sisters; and a half-brother. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at First United Methodist Church in Carthage, with burial to follow in Moss Ridge Cemetery in Carthage. on November 12, 2015.3

She was an active member of the First United Methodist Church in Carthage. Mary is survived by three children, Roger (Linda) Johnson of Albany, Ill., Linda Sue Johnson of Carthage, and Patty (Michael) Wiegers of Lewistown, Ill; five grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; a sister, Barbara Johnson of Jefferson, Wis; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert; son, Larry Edward Johnson; and brother, William Swain. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 22, at First United Methodist Church in Carthage, with burial to follow in Moss Ridge Cemetery in Carthage. on February 20, 2020.3
