Loyd Douglas Johnson Loyd D. Johnson, 76, Middleport died unexpectedly on Tuesday February 15, 2005 at Pleasant Valley Hospital in Point Pleasant, WV. He was born April 11, 1928 in Dorcas, OH. The son of the late Douglas L. Johnson and Gladys L. Oliver Johnson Goulding. He worked for Ford Motor Company over 15 years as a Press Operator, served in the United States Military in Korea July 31, 1950 to July 31, 1951. He was a member of Feeney Bennett Post 128 American Legion, VFW Post 9053 and the DAV Post 53. He is survived by: wife Ardella M. Eimers Johnson of Middleport, a daughter Sandra M. Johnson of Reedsville, stepmother Brace Johnson of Pomeroy; sisters, Gloria Jean Manuel of Racine, Nancy Prater of Hamden; brothers, Douglas (Alma) Johnson Jr., Arthur Earl (Margaret) Johnson, Roy Wayne Johnson, all of Racine; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters, Lois Ann Johnson and Leota N. Johnson Hubbard. Services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday February 18, 2005 at Fisher Funeral Home in Middleport. Burial will follow in Letart Falls Cemetery in Letart, Ohio. Friends may call on Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. She is survived by her children, Raymond (Gloria) Eimers of Tonawanda, Diane (Wesley) Reese of Lockport, and Julie (Stephen) Dersham of Campbell; grandchildren, Rebecca (Todd) Welch of Painted Post, and Jason (Laurie Ballos) Dersham of Campbell; great grandson, Timothy Welch of Painted Post; brother-in-law, Guernon Eimers of Erie, Pennsylvania; sister-in-law, Ardella Johnson of Middleport, Ohio; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Howard and sisters, Louella, Gladys, and Dorothy. Claribel's family will receive friends on Saturday, March 25, 2006 from 1-3 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 17 West Pulteney Street, Corning, where her funeral service will follow at 3 p.m. with Rev. David Peck officiating.
