Dorothy was born in Checotah, Oklahoma and moved to Bakersfield in 1934 where she met and married Bruce Monfort and raised 3 children. After 34 loving years, Bruce passed away. Dorothy found love again, and married Roy R. Henry. The two spent 24 years together. Dorothy, was affectionately known as "Grams" to her family, neighbors and many, many friends. She was an extremely multi-talented lady who could do most almost everything, from building a house, to owning and operating a designer-dressmaking business for over ten years. She was the Banquet Manager at the Ramada Inn for 40 plus years, and was admired for her ability to arrange everything from special floral arrangements to overall decorations and all facets of meal reservations. She was a master chef, baker and recipe maker. A truly wonderful homemaker and a helping friend to her neighbors and everyone who knew her. "Grams" did it all. She was the glue in our family. The loving one who was always able to make everyone feel important. She was a wonderful example to all of us and she will remain in our hearts forever. She is survived by her son, Joe Monfort; daughter, Jeannie Henry; sister, Penny Kalinowski; four grandchildren; Karen, Michael, Chris, Michelle, along with many, many great- grandchildren, nieces and nephews. The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff of Parkview Julian Convalescence Hospital for their dedicated and wonderful care provided to our mother through the many years of Alzheimer Disease. A special thank you to the Hoffmann Hospice staff for the care and assistance provided in such a difficult time. on June 28, 2006.³

Barbara is survived by her four loving children, Edward Ellenberg, Jeanne Ellenberg [Riley], Brenda Ellenberg and Cynthia [Ellenberg] Nelson, son-in-law Jeff Nelson, and daughter-in-law Kim Ellenberg. She will forever be missed by all her grandkids, Kylee [Nelson] and Jake Schurmann, Bailey Nelson, Amy Ellenberg, Ashlie Nelson, and Shaeli Nelson- they all gave her so much joy. She is also lovingly remembered by best friend Sharon Anseth, and brother Don Henry. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Ross and Stella Henry, brother Gene Henry, good friends Bill Tolleson and James Riley, and just recently, first husband Ronald Ellenberg. Barbara had a warm and open heart and if you knew her, you loved her. She was a beautiful person, inside and out. She was smart and creative, brave and proud, she loved to laugh, and she was always there. Mom will be in our hearts forever. A private memorial will be held in honor and celebration of Barbara's life. on May 18, 2014.⁴

Ron is survived by his beloved wife Sharon Ridalls Ellenberg, his four devoted children, Edward Ellenberg, Jeanne Ellenberg [Riley], Brenda Ellenberg & Cindy [Ellenberg] Nelson, & their mom Barbara Henry [Ellenberg], son-in-law Jeff Nelson, daughter-in-law Kim Ellenberg, stepdaughters & sons-in-law Laurie & Jeff Strickland, Kelly Fischer, & Kandy & Mike Birdwell. He is also forever remembered by all his loving grandchildren, Kylee & Jake Schurmann, Amy Ellenberg, Bailey & Ashlie & Shaeli Nelson, Krystal & Jason & Lindsey Strickland, & Joshua Birdwell. Ron was preceded in death by his good friend James Riley, & brother-in-law Bill Ridalls. Ron "retired" after 41 years with Boeing, working on every plane from the B-52's to the 777's. True to form though, he kept himself busy with home renovation jobs right up to last fall 2012. He was a hardworking man who provided well for his family and believed in doing something right the first time. Ron will be missed by his many extended family and friends as much for his cantankerous ways as for his proud, true-blue, sentimental heart, and his intelligent, industrious mind.
