If you knew Dave you knew he enjoyed a wonderful sense of humor, he loved spending time with his family, friends, playing golf and was an avid painter. David was preceded in death by his parents, Archie and Rosalyn, nee Reed, Runner. He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Ann, nee Hempen, Runner; 3 children, Mark D. (Carla) Runner of O'Fallon, Ill., Terri Marlow of O'Fallon, Ill. and Dodi (Quin) Netzel of Jacksonville, Fla; brother, Joe (Pat) Runner of Tiverton, R.I; 7 grandchildren, Jordan Runner, Angela Torres, Jesse Torres, Ashleigh Loehring, Allyson Defosset, Max Netzel and Olivia Netzel; 7 great-grandchildren, Luna Runner, Lucas Torres, Emily Torres, Jackson Warner, Jack Loehring, Evan Holland and Parker Loehring. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at St. Matthew United Methodist Church 1200 Moreland Dr. Belleville, Ill. 62223, with Rev. Robert Souders and Rev. Larry Patton officiating. Burial will follow 9 a.m. Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, 2900 Sheridan, St. Louis, Mo., with full military honors. on August 13, 2017.2
