Dulanski Sr. She mostly enjoyed being with her children and grandchildren – they were the love of her life. She also enjoyed gardening, quilting, and spending time with her friends. Later in life, she moved to Florida to enjoy the beautiful sunshine. Born June 9, 1961 in Olean, NY, he was the son of the late Burton and Thelma Andrews Newark. He had been married to the former Joyce Bowley Newark for many years. She predeceased him on September 4, 2014. Dave was employed for over 25 years with the Salamanca Board of Public Utilities, retiring as a Foreman. He had also been employed for many years at the former Biscup’s Hardware Store and had a small engine repair shop at his home. He was a former member of the United Congregational Methodist Church. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and riding his four-wheeler. He coached SYA Baseball for ten years and collected antiques. Dave was happiest when he had a project or something to fix. Surviving are: two sons, Andrew “Andy” (Angela Bialaszewski) Newark, Salamanca, NY, Jeremy (Kyle Croker) Newark, Randolph, NY; two grandchildren, Kaydence Newark and Ayden Newark, both of Salamanca, NY; a brother, Steve ( Delores) Newark, Little Valley, NY; a sister, Marjorie Newark McLaughlin, Coatesville, PA; three nieces, Monica (Victor) O’Neal, Honeybrook, PA, Amber (David) Herman, Coatesville, PA, Christine Newark, Otto, NY.¹ He married Joyce L. His career as a professional engineer began in 1954 with Ajax Magnethermic, then from 1962 until 1982, he worked at Youngstown State University, he then worked with Venetta Engineers until 1984, and ended his career working for General Electric in Grove City, with his 1995 retirement. Ray was a member of the church and Professional Engineers Association. He was a YSU Alumni and a U.S. Navy veteran. He enjoyed family and golfing. He is survived by two sons; Ray (Dawn) Orlando and Richard (Barbara) Orlando; two grandchildren, Vincent and Gina; five great-grandchildren, Dominic, Mira, Demetrius, Lisa, and Russell; one great-great grandson, Dylan; a brother, John Orlando; and a sister, Antoinette Bispek. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, the former Ruth C. Beck, whom he married Sept. 11, 1948, and who died Aug. 25, 2005; and two sisters, Candie Lynn and Rita Chapman. Family and friends will gather from 5 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday and from 9 to 9:45 a.m. on Wednesday at the Schiavone Funeral Home. Entombment will be at Calvary Cemetery with military honors. on October 2, 2016.²
