     Janet Lee West OAK HILL — Miss Janet Lee West, 19, of Oak Hill, died Sunday at the University of Virginia Hospital in Charlottesville, Va., of aplastic anemia. She was an employe of Hills Store in Beckley prior to her illness. Miss West was a 1974 graduate of Collins High School in Oak Hill. She was a native of Oak Hill. Surviving: parents, Robert (Bill) and Cora Mae Massey West of Oak Hill; brothers, James Robert West at home; sisters, Miss Carol Sue West, Mrs. Katherine Marie West, and Miss Mary Ellen West at home; grandparents, Mrs. Winnie Smith West and Delbert Franklin of Oak Hill. Services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill, with the Rev. Bill Menefee and the Rev. C. W. (Jack) Barker officiating. Born June 21, 1953, at Scarbro, she was the daughter of the late Mary E. Lopez. Her husband, Delmas Gene West, preceded her in death on Jan. 22, 2015. Two brothers, Roy Dale Lopez and Wayne Lopez, and her sister, Tonya Lynn Lopez, also preceded her. She was a retired custodian for the Fayette County Board of Education. Alice liked fishing and she loved spending time with her grandchildren. Born at Mercer County, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Cynthia Shorter Caldwell. She was a homemaker and a member of the Pettry Church of Christ. She was a lifelong resident of Mercer County. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jessie J. White; daughter, Joyce Faye White, and brothers, Roscoe, William, Lloyd, Woodrow and Earl Caldwell; and sister, Lorraine Martin. Survivors; sons, James W. White of Princeton and Clendal White and Edward White, both of Lerona; daughter, Mrs. Robert "Ennis" Gadd of Elgood; sisters, Mrs. Lockie Wiley of Athens and Mrs. Ruth Crews and Mrs. Pansy Wiley, both of Lerona; nine grandchildren; and nine greatgrandchildren. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Burns Wornal Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton with Bruce Barilla officiating.      Ennis Elane White was buried at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Courthouse Road, Princeton, Mercer Co., West Virginia.³ She Ennis Elane Gadd, 79, of Elgood Road, died Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at Princeton community Hospital, surrounded by her loving family and friends. Born June 7, 1933, at Bent Mountain, Ennis was the daughter of the late Jessie and Naomi Caldwell White. Of the christian faith, she was a homemaker, gardener, seamstress and baker. She found her place in the world on her beloved country farm in rural Mercer county, alongside her husband, Robert. While she worked hard at many tasks throughout her life, her most favorite job came in the summers, she and Robert raised their gardens and sold the produce they harvested at the Mercer county Tailgate Farmer's Market. Through all the time Ennis spent tending the earth, raising livestock or baking a batch of rolls for market, her best-loved titles were that of wife, mom and "nanny". In addition to her parents, Ennis was preceded in death by her always-devoted husband of 61 years, Robert; brothers James and Edward White; and an infant sister, Joyce Fay. Survivors left to cherish her memory include three daughters, Connie Gadd Toler and husband, Doug, of Athens; Deborah Gadd Mitchem and husband, Danny, of Elgood; and Nancy Gadd Byrd, of Austin, Texas; two granddaughters, Tammie Toler of Athens; and Cristi Williams, of Elgood; great-grandson, Matthew Gadd Williams, of Elgood; great-granddaughter, Abigail Elane Williams-Fry, of Elgood; brother, Clendal White and his wife, Patty; and a very special friend, Beverly McManaway. He was born July 23, 1935 in Princeton, and was the son of the late Jessie James and Naomi Caldwell White. He retired as an Equipment Supervisor with the West Virginia Department of Highways in Princeton. Bunny attended Johnston Chapel Baptist Church on Halls Ridge Road in Princeton. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving and devoted wife Norma Alvatine Martin White and by a brother Edward White. He is survived by one daughter Judy Hanna and husband Kenneth of Princeton. One son, Ronald J. White and Michaella and her daughter Summer. Three grandchildren, Heather Wilson and husband Mike and their daughter Kayla of Princeton. Angela Long and husband Jamie and their children Cody, Teresa, Sadie and Mayleigh of Cherokee, North Carolina and Bradley Hanna and wife Jennifer and their children Alexia, Emily, Ryan and Hailey of Staunton, Virginia. Also surviving, are one brother, Clendal White and his wife Patty of Bent Mountain, Lerona, West Virginia and one sister, Ennis Gadd of Pettrey, West Virginia. A host of Nieces and Nephews and his extended family from the Country View Assisted Living Facility in Peterstown, West Virginia also survive. Survivors include one son, Edward T. White Jr. of Bent Mountain Road; one daughter, Donna J. Thomason of Princeton; two grandsons, Jason and Steven Thomason; one sister, Ennis Gadd and husband Robert of Elgood; and two brothers, James White and wife Norma of Princeton, and Clendal White and wife Patty of Bent Mountain Road. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Burns Wornal Chapel of Memorial Funeral Directory, Athens Road, Princeton, with Rev. Roger Carroll officiating. Burial will follow at the Caldwell-Wiley Cemetery, Bent Mountain, near Lerona. on June 4, 1999.⁶
