Born January 14, 1931 at Sanger, WV, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Winnie Smith West. Deloris was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Madison Hamilton; by two daughters, Janet S. Legg and Barbara K. Hamilton. She was also preceded in death by one sister and seven brothers and was the last surviving of her siblings. Surviving are two sons, Robert (Lucy) Hamilton of Hereford, Pa., Ralph (Patricia) Hamilton of Massilion, OH; two daughters, Deloris Ingram and Brenda (Andy) Roles all of Oak Hill; one sister-in-law, Pauline (Pete) Castellanos of Elyria, OH. Also surviving are 26 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and 12 great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at the Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill, with Rev. Richard Allen officiating. Burial will follow in the Smith Cemetery at Greentown Loop Road.3 She was born on January 14, 1931 at Sanger, Fayette Co., West Virginia.5,3 As of March 22, 1947,her married name was Hamilton.4 She married Edward Manford Hamilton on March 22, 1947 at Oak Hill, Fayette Co., West Virginia.3,4 Delores Irene West died on April 19, 2019 at Beckley, Raleigh Co., West Virginia, at age 88.3

Miller, both of Beckley; daughters, Angel Legg of Terry, Tanya Legg of Carlisle and April Miller of Beckley; brothers, Roger Hamilton of Landsdale, Pa., and Ralph Hamilton of Akron, N.C; sisters, Barbara Hamilton and Deloris Ingram, both of Oak Hill, and Brenda Roles of Minden; and eight grandchildren. Services were Aug. 21 at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill, with the Rev. Vernon R. Chittum officiating. Burial was at Smith Cemetery, Greentown Road, Oak Hill. on August 23, 2006.3

He was a former raft guide for multiple companies and Master Technician for King Coal Chevrolet. Sisters, Ruby Duncan and Beverly Jones preceded him in death. Survivors include two sons, Nicholas Dean Plumb and Shane Michael Plumb and their mother his former wife, America St. Clair; daughter, Christy Nichols of Jody; sisters, Carrie Plumb of Oak Hill and Flossie Olsen of Blythe, CA; and brothers, Richard Plumb of Danese and Frank (Linda) Plumb of Illinois. Born February 10, 1952 in Ward, WV she was the daughter of Delores Irene West Hamilton of Oak Hill and the late Edward Hamilton. Barbara was a former cook for New River Elementary School in Oak Hill. A sister, Janet Legg preceded her in death. In addition to her mother, Barbara is survived by her daughter, Melinda Collins of St. Albans; a son, Edward Collins of Greentown; two brothers, Ralph Hamilton of Ohio and Roger Hamilton of Pennsylvania; and two sisters, Delores Ingram of Oak Hill and Brenda Roles of Oak Hill. Funeral services will be on Friday, July 24, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. at Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill. with Rev. Richard Allen officiating.      Brenda Gail Hamilton Brenda Gail Hamilton-Roles 61, of Oak Hill WV, went to be with the Lord after a long history of cancers on October 11, 2020. Brenda was born April 21, 1959, in Cedar Grove WV and she was the daughter of the late Deloris Irene West-Hamilton and Edward Manford Hamilton. She was a volunteer at the American Legion in Fayetteville, WV. She loved playing bingo, outdoor activities, gardening, and spending time with family. Besides her parents, she is proceeded in death by her sisters Janet Sue Hamilton Legg and Barbara Kay Hamilton. She is survived by her: husband, Joe Andrew Roles, two sons, Richard Lee Plumb of Oak Hill and Joe Alexander Roles of Minden, two brothers, Ralph Keith Hamilton and wife Patty of Ohio, and Roger Lee Hamilton and wife Lucy of Pennsylvania, one sister Deloris Jean Hamilton Ingram of Oak Hill, countless nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive. Brenda will be dearly missed by her many friends and family. Police found the body of Lena Sue Legg Richmond, 35, at 2:30 a.m. Monday after going to her mobile home in Collinwood Trailer Park in Oak Hill to check on her and her husband, Alva Lamur Richmond, Oak Hill Police Chief Fred Dickinson said. The couple had not been seen since 10:30 a.m. Sunday. Alva Richmond, 37, was being sought for questioning Tuesday. Lena Richmond's body has been sent to the state medical examiner's office for an autopsy. on April 12, 2000.3 She OAK HILL - An Oak Hill man jailed in Tennessee on driving-related charges has confessed to killing his wife and girlfriend, a Tennessee sheriff says. Alva Lamar Richmond told a Cookeville, Tenn., homicide detective he killed his wife, Lena, on April 10 and strangled Virginia Helmick last month in Kings Mountain, N.C., said Putnam County, Tenn., Sheriff Jerry Abston. Richmond led authorities early Friday to Helmick's body in a field in Baxter, Tenn., Abston said Sunday. Richmond, 37, was jailed in Cookeville on Sept. 19 on numerous charges after being involved in a car accident. The vehicle Richmond was driving had been reported stolen. Last Thursday, Richmond called an officer to his cell and asked to talk to a homicide detective, Abston said. The sheriff said Richmond did not indicate why he decided to confess. "He went into some detail about both of the murders," Abston said. Richmond had been wanted by Oak Hill police in the death of his 35-year-old wife. Police found her body in the couple's house trailer on April 11. Helmick, 47, also was a resident of Oak Hill. No charges have been filed in Tennessee against Richmond in the slayings, Abston said. His office has been in contact with officials from both North Carolina and West Virginia. on October 3, 2000.5
