Born in Williamsburg, Ky., Mr. Bryant graduated from Berea Preparatory School and attended Sue Bennett and Eastern Kentucky Colleges. He taught school for 10 years in southern Kentucky, near Williamsburg. In the late 1930s, he moved to Cincinnati. During the war years, he worked for Hilton Davis Chemical Co. before returning to teaching for a short time in Cincinnati. He owned and operated Bryant's Garage in Camp Washington, then Bryant Motors on Cheviot Road, a welding and body shop specializing in trailer construction. About 17 years ago, he retired, though for the next five years he spent much of his time as a substitute teacher tor the Cincinatti school system. Mr. Bryant belonged to the Southwestern Bee Keepers Association and was a 45-year member of the Lincoln Park Baptist Church. With the church, he served on the groundbreaking committee for the church's new home on Blue Rock Road, the church's finance committee and the board of trustees. Survivors are his wife, Jean; three daughters, Nita Yamaguchi, Frances Renner and Caroline Gilmer; two sisters, Maude Walker and Martha Warren; and eight grandchildren. Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. Tuesday in Frederick Funeral Home, 2553 Banning Road at Pippin. Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Lincoln Park Baptist Church. Memorials may be made to the Lincoln Park Baptist Church or the American Cancer Society. on April 21, 1986.²
