Born May 5, 1937, in Lester, he was the son of the late Carnie C. and Vada Miller Canaday. Mr. Canaday was a maintenance worker for the telephone company who loved country music. He enjoyed mechanic work, especially spending time working on cars and TVs. He served his country in the Air Force during peacetime and received the Good Conduct Medal and Air Force Longevity Service Award. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Sharon Canaday.
