At the age of two, she moved with her family to Beaver Crossing where she attended and later graduated from Beaver Crossing High School with the class of 1941. She accepted Christ as her personal Savior and became a member of East Fairview Mennonite Church. June was united in marriage to Leonard Schweitzer on November 4, 1941 at his parent's home near Friend and to this union four children were born: J. Joe, Gary, Linda and Randy. Together they made their home on a farm southeast of Beaver Crossing where she was a busy homemaker and helper to Leonard on the farm. They moved into Milford in 1981 where June enjoyed quilting and keeping up with family activities. She loved going to the Milford Senior Center for coffee time and fellowship with friends.
