Charlotte Sue Cochran1

F, b. September 13, 1950, d. July 29, 2025
Charlotte Sue Cochran was buried at Oak Grove Cemetery, Beckley, Raleigh Co., West Virginia.1 She Charlotte Taylor, age 74, of Midway, WV passed away Tuesday, July 29, 2025 at her home. Born September 13, 1950, in Beckley, WV she was the daughter of the late Ray Samuel Cochran and Nellie Mae Harris Cochran. Charlotte worked in the public school system for over 35 years and touched many hearts. She loved to cook and compete with her tasty dishes. She loved to show off at the State Fair of WV and has many blue ribbons to prove she was the People's Choice. She loved Murder Mysteries and could never turn down a dinner theater. She loved to hear about her family's adventures since Parkinson's robbed her of the ability to walk in later years. She supported the arts and would often be found at Tamarack watching the actors perform on stage. She loved to read and never fully made the change from the old paper books to the new electronics. She loved to laugh. She loved her dog Freckles and her cat Little Girl. Charlotte loved her family and enjoyed throwing a party for any reason. Immediately after one party ended, she would be asking "what's next". Nothing made her happier than having every single family member at her home for Halloween. The memories she leaves are astounding. The world will be a lesser place without her here. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Betsy Diane, spouse, David Taylor, a brother, Samuel Ray Cochran and grandson, Anthony Nicolaou. Those survivors left to cherish her memory are a daughter Kelly (Chris), son David (Roxanne) and son Scott (Danette), grandchildren Erik (Jenny), Kecia (Matt), Sadie, Ethan, Tyler (Autumn), Abbie. Great grandchildren Jackson, Grayson, Emersyn, Wyatt, Colton, Briana, Jacob and baby Poling. Sisters Melody (Randall) and Nellie (Mike). Nephews Thomas (Angela) Benjamin and Joshua (Stephanie). Special mention to her caregiver who became family, Rachel Pack (Donald). Special thanks to Tanya, Amy and all of the staff at Hospice of Southern WV who made the last few months of her life easier to navigate. They were a welcomed relief and each one a light in the darkness. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Hospice of Southern WV. Burial will follow at the Oak Grove Cemetery at Oak Grove, WV.1 Her married name was Taylor.1 She married David Ray Taylor, son of Ray Taylor and Elva Irlett "Elvie" Terry.1,2 Charlotte Sue Cochran was born on September 13, 1950 at Beckley, Raleigh Co., West Virginia.1 She died on July 29, 2025 at Midway, Raleigh Co., West Virginia, at age 74.1

Those he loved but left behind are his two brothers, three children, four grandchildren and many family and friends. He walked to the beat of his own drum and lived his life on his terms.
