He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Mary Ann; his son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Jenine Buchan; daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Brian McMahan; and daughter and son-in-law, Cathy and Jake Mitchell. He also leaves behind his grand-children he so dearly loved, Chris Buchan, Kelli (Kent) Bergsagel, Brittany and Tyler McMahan, Grace and Claire Mitchell. He was able to meet his first great-grandchild, Conrad Bergsagel. He is also survived by brothers, Brian and Lyle Buchan. He was preceded in death by his parents Lloyd Buchan and Freida Armbruster; and sister, Vivian Ellison. Larry was born in Baker, OR on September 30, 1932. He grew up in Eastern Oregon and joined the Navy upon graduation from high school. After serving four years in the Navy he went on to earn his journeyman plumbing license. He spent many years working in southern California as a journeyman plumber. He married the love of his life, MaryAnn, in 1956. They raised their family in Bellflower, CA until 1979 when they moved to Everett, WA to own and operate the local Baskin-Robbins stores. Starting with two stores in 1979, the family grew their business to four stores and still operate one today. In 1982, Larry took a job with the city of Everett and worked as a plumbing inspector until his retirement in 1998. He enjoyed many years of gardening, tinkering in the garage and short vacations with MaryAnn. Affectionately known as Larry, Mr. B, or Papa, his energy was infectious wherever he went. He will be deeply missed by his family, especially at regular Sunday dinner gatherings. A celebration of Larry's life will be held at St. John's Catholic Church in Mukilteo on Tuesday, April 3, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. A private internment ceremony will be held at a later date at Tahoma National Military Cemetery. on March 30, 2012.4

Born Feb. 16, 1920, to Fred and Hazel Cosens, she spent most of her life on the Rye Valley Ranch where she enjoyed the outdoors and horseback riding in the surrounding hills and Pedro Mountain. LaVerne married Lloyd Buchan in 1949, they were married for 30 years. After Lloyd's death in 1980 LaVerne remained on the ranch until it was sold in early 2000, she then moved to Ontario, Ore., where she resided until her passing. LaVerne was loved by all who knew her and her sweet friendly spirit will be missed by her loving friends and neighbors.LaVerne is survived by her daughter, Robin Herriman and granddaughter, Stacy both of Vale, Ore; her close cousin, Nelda Morton, of John Day, Ore; several other cousins and niece, Barbara.LaVerne's wish was to have no service. Private internment will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Baker City, Ore. Local arrangements are under the direction of Thomason Funeral Home of Weiser. on January 20, 2012.2

Loretta married William L. Buchan in 1947. Loretta and Bill lived in Spokane with their two daughters (Pam and Sandi). Bill passed away in 1955. Loretta married Allen E. Nance in 1957. Pam and Sandi were soon joined by their siblings Denise, Rick and Jim. Loretta was preceded in death by her husbands William L. Buchan (1922-1955) and Allen Nance (1928-1996). She is survived by her daughters Pamela K. Washburn (David), Sandi Kukuk (Don), Denise Conrad (Charles) and sons Richard Nance (Jackie) and James Nance; grandchildren Melissa, Chris, Noah, Robert (Miranda), Jason (Krysta), Ben, Eric, Emily, Tom, Paulo (Bonni), Rashelle and Yvette; and nine great grandchildren. Loretta's family would like to express their gratitude to Dr. Peter Rinaldi, Dr. Jay Wittenkeller, and Spokane Hospice. A celebration of Loretta's life will be held at Millwood Community Presbyterian Church, 3223 N. Marguerite Rd., Spokane, WA, Thursday, July 2nd at 2:00 p.m. on June 28, 2015.2
