     William T. VanDorin was buried at Moravia Cemetery, Moravia, Appanoose Co., Iowa.1 He was born on January 24, 1858 at Salem, Henry Co., Iowa.1,3 He married Angeline Nora "Angie" McKern, daughter of Edmond/Edmund Edward McKern and Malinda Evelyn Van Doren, on October 9, 1878 at Appanoose Co., Iowa.1,2,4 William T. VanDorin died on February 12, 1943 at Moravia, Appanoose Co., Iowa, at age 85.1 He William T. VanDorin was born near Salem, Henry County, Iowa, Jan. 24, 1858, and passed away at his home in Moravia on Feb. 12, 1943, at the age of 86 years and 18 days. His mother died when be was 13 years of age and he assumed the household duties and the care of the younger children. He came to Appanoose County when he was 19 years of age and later united in marriage with Angie McKern Oct. 9, 1878. The couple went to Osborne County, Kans., for a period of 11 years after which they returned to Moravia. Mr. VanDorin entered mercantile bueineas and in addition was a successful farmer. He was active in community affairs, a member of the school board, on the city council, the mayor, and was also active in the affairs of the Methodist Chureh. He leaves to mourn his passing one adopted son, Freddie M. VanDorin of Rock Island, Ill., and family. During the last year or so of his illness he was under the loving care of his neice, Mrs. Flora Jones. Other survivors are three brothers and four sisters, Oscar of Albia, Louie of Argyle, Iowa, and Charley of Moravia, Mrs. Mary Clestel! of Moravia, Mrs. Ida Henderson of Cherokee, Okla., Mrs. Rosie Wenike of Salem, Iowa, and Mrs. Jennie Elmore also of Salem. Known for his kindly disposition and neighborliness, Mr. VanDorin has many friends who mourn his passing. Funeral services were held at the Moravia Methodist Church Sunday afternoon conducted by the pastor, the Rev. E. L. Pullman. Music for the service was furnished by Forrest Main and Mrs. George Winsler with Mrs. Fred Blumenstock accompanying at the piano. The hymns sung were "Jesus, Saviour, Pilot Me" "Going Down the Valley," and "Abide With Me." The following nephews of Mr. VanDorin served as pallbearers for the service: James T. VanDorin, Willie VanDorin, Freddie VanDorin, Arthur VanDorin, Ilef Clester and Bert McKern. Burial was in the Moravia cemetery. on February 18, 1943.1

Ritzman died on January 29, 2013 at Dallas, Dallas Co., Texas, at age 82.3,4 He Jack B. Ritzman, 82, of Dallas, formerly of Lockridge, died Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2013, in Dallas. Born March 23, 1930, in Lockridge, he was the son of Jackson and Mary Ritzman. On Jan. 17, 1952, he married Patricia Moore in Burlington. She died in November 2012. Mr. Ritzman worked 20 years at National Lock in Rockford, Ill., while serving as a master sergeant in the National Guard. He grew up in rural southeast Iowa, where he attended school and worked. He moved to northern Illinois, then to Dallas in 1994. He was known as a loving papa to his four grandchildren, helping with their care and being there for all their events. Survivors include two sons, Mike Ritzman and Kirk Ritzman, both of Dallas, and four grandchildren. Besides his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and one brother. No visitation is planned. Burial will be Saturday in Calvary Hill Cemetery in Dallas. A memorial has been established for the Dementia/Alzheimer's charity of the donor's choice. Calvary Hill Funeral Home in Dallas is in charge of arrangements. on February 8, 2013.3

Moore died on December 20, 2009 at Keenesburg, Weld Co., Colorado, at age 79.1,2,3 She Delores J. Curl, 79, of Keenesburg, died Dec. 20, 2009. She was born March, 29, 1930, in Dodge City, Kan., to Carl and Laura Moore. She married Ralph Curl. He preceded her in death in 1997 after 40 years of marriage. She gave her life to Jesus when she was baptized into the Catholic Church at the age of 78 and her faith became her fortress as her health declined. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Keenesburg. Survivors include her four children, Steven (Barb) Curl, Cynthia (Jim) Braun, Vickie (Herb) Curl, and Randy (Christine) Curl; 10 grandchildren; and four (plus one on the way) great-grandchildren; two sisters, Norma and Wanda; and several nieces and nephews. A rosary will be said at 6:30 p.m., Dec. 27 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Roggen. Mass of Christian burial will be at 1 p.m., Dec. 28 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment will be Dec. 30 at Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver. on December 22, 2009.1
