Muncy, on April 8, 1953 at Rockingham Co., North Carolina.¹ Ephriam Lee Brinson died on June 8, 1953 at Korea at age 22; He served as a Private in the US Army and was one of nine soldiers from Craven Co., NC, who died by hostile means as a result of combat duty in the Korean War.²

Anne was a retired school guidance counselor who received her Bachelor's and Master's degrees from Radford College. She is preceded in death by her parents, Boots and Eula Goodwin, and her husbands Bert Meek, Jack Nelson, and Jim Enos. She is survived by her two children, Shannon Meek Eicher and Shelly Meek Stein, 4 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, and her brothers Charles, Gary and Bill Goodwin. She will be buried at Barrancas National Cemetery in Pensacola, Fl at a date to be determined. on July 24, 2011.³

     Bert Louis Meek was buried at Barrancas National Cemetery, Naval Air Station, 80 Hovey Road, Pensacola, Escambia Co., Florida.² He was born on March 18, 1929 at Oklahoma City, Oklahoma Co., Oklahoma.^2,3 He married Anna Elizabeth Goodwin, daughter of Buford Charles Goodwin and Eula Blanche Hall, on December 26, 1959 at Radford, Virginia.^1,3 Bert Louis Meek died on May 24, 1980 at Pensacola, Escambia Co., Florida, at age 51.²

     John Peter "Jack" Nelson Sr. was buried at Barrancas National Cemetery, Naval Air Station, 80 Hovey Road, Pensacola, Escambia Co., Florida.² He married Anna Elizabeth Goodwin, daughter of Buford Charles Goodwin and Eula Blanche Hall.^1,2 John Peter "Jack" Nelson Sr. was born on October 29, 1931 at Jersey City, Hudson Co., New Jersey.^2,3 He died on August 30, 2000 at Lake Co., Florida, at age 68.^2,3 He LADY LAKE, Fla. -John P. Jack Nelson, Sr., 68, of Lady Lake, FL, died Wednesday, August 30, 2000. Mr. Nelson was preceded in death by his parents, Peter and Helen Nelson and a son, John P. Nelson, Jr. Born on October 29, 1931, in Jersey City, NJ, Jack moved to Florida at a young age and lived there most of his life. He served in the U.S. Navy aboard the Oriskany aircraft carrier and retired from NARDAC, NAS Pensacola, FL, as a computer specialist in 1993. He has spent his retirement years in Lady Lake, FL, enjoying golf course living. Jack was a member of St. George Episcopal Church in The Villages of Lady Lake. Survivors include his wife, Anne Meek Nelson of Lady Lake; two daughters, Diane Carpenter and her husband, Craig, and Judi Spayde, all of Long Beach, MS; grandchildren, Evan Carpenter and Jillian Spayde of Long Beach; stepdaughters, Shannon Eicher of Pensacola, FL, and Shelly Stein of Columbia, LA; and stepgrandchildren, Michael, Bobby, Danielle and Wayne. Funeral services will be held at Faith Chapel Funeral Home in Pensacola, FL, 100 Beverly Pkwy. on Friday, September 1, 2000, at 12:30. Friends may call at Faith Chapel at 11:30. Burial will be in Barrancas National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials be made to the American Cancer Society or to the charity of your choice. on August 31, 2000.²
