Burial will follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville. She was born December 1, 1909, in Kingwood, W.Va., a daughter of the late Arthur and Lacy Wagner Fauber. She was also preceded in death by a son-in-law, John "Bud" Spangler, one granddaughter, Pamela Cliff Bracken and one grandson, David Cliff. She was a homemaker, a member of Fifth Avenue Baptist Church and a past member of the Beverly Hills Women's Club. She attended Marshall College. Survivors include twin daughters, Dorothy Spangler of Ceredo and Judith Cliff and her husband, Col. Don Keith Cliff of Woodbridge, Va; one sister, Margaret Fauber of Fairmont, W.Va; six grandchildren, Debbie Cliff MacDonald, Kim Cliff Swartz, Robin Cliff Korne, Duane Spangler, Rebecca Spangler Keefer and Renee Spangler Minor; 12 great-grandchildren, Dustin Swartz, Ashley Swartz, Kellen Swartz, Christopher MacDonald, Derek Spangler, Laura Spangler, Aimee Minor Hampton, Andy Minor, Ryan Keefer, Travis Keefer, Jesse Spangler and Isaac Spangler; and four great- great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition, 500 NE Spanish River Blvd. Suite 8, Boca Raton FL 33431. Friends may call from 10 a.m. to service time Monday at the church. Chapman's Mortuary, Huntington is in charge of arrangements. on October 2, 2005.3

     Dorothy Louise Merrifield Dorothy Louise Merrifield Spangler, 75, of Ceredo, W.Va., went to be with her Lord on Thursday, May 3, 2007, at Cabell Huntington Hospital. A celebration of her life will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 8, 2007, at the First Baptist Church of Kenova, of which she was a member, with Rev. Tom Sharp officiating. Burial will follow in Crescent Hill Cemetery in Ceredo. She was born June 18, 1931, to the late Albert and Dorothy Fauber Merrifield in Huntington, W.Va. Dorothy was retired from the Wayne County Board of Education where she had been a school teacher for many years. She graduated from Huntington High School in 1949 and Marshall University in 1953. Dorothy was a member of the J.O.Y. Sunday School Class at her church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, John D. "Bud" Spangler. She is survived by her beloved children, one son and daughter-in-law, John Duane and Bridy Spangler of Hillsville, Ill; two daughters and sons-in-law, Rebecca and Kenny Keefer of Huntington, W.Va., and Renee and Steve Minor of Edgewater, Fla; her twin sister and brother-in-law, Judith Ann and Col. Donald Keith Cliff USMC Ret. of Huntington; her nine grandchildren whom she loved, Derek Spangler, Laura Spangler, Jesse Spangler, Isaac Spangler, Whitney Spangler, Aimee Hampton, Andy Minor, Ryan Keefer and Travis Keefer; four great-grandchildren, Zoee, Marlee, Conner and Nathan; many friends and neighbors. Dot will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Flowers will be appreciated and accepted or memorial contribution may be made to the First Baptist Church of Kenova or the American Heart Association. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, May 7, 2007 at Rollins Funeral Home in Kenova.
