Mr. Cade served in the Army in Korea. He worked in the Weyerhaeuser pulp lab for 15 years, at Stowe Woodward for three years and Reynolds Cable Plant for 19 years, retiring in 1989. On August 13, 1954, she married George Lund, Jr. She retired from AT&T as a long distance operator. She was preceded in death by a son, George Lund III and her parents. She is survived by her husband, George at home; son, Duane Lund; two daughters, Diane Swogger and Debbie DeSpain all of Kelso; eleven grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She's also survived by a brother, Lee Madison of Arizona; a sister, Mae Carpenter of Kelso; and a sister, JoAnne Lietz of Minnesota. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Columbia Funeral Service. on July 30, 2005.³

He served in the Air Force and was honorably discharged on July 11, 1961. He enjoyed spending time on his property cutting firewood, planting trees and building items around the house. He was a loving, caring man who would help anyone, and he had a special love for kids. He was preceded in death by a son, George Lund III; father, George Lund; mother, Margaret Petersen; and the love of his life and wife of nearly 51 years, Billie June (Madison) Lund. He is survived by his loving son, Duane Lund and his wife of Kelso; two daughters, Diane Swogger and Debra DeSpain, both of Kelso; numerous grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. No service will be held. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Columbia Funeral Service. on November 15, 2008.²
