     Michael Andrew Davis was born on March 7, 1959 at Charleston, Kanawha Co., West Virginia.^1,2 He died on January 29, 2011 at Waxahachie, Ellis Co., Texas, at age 51.² He Michael Andrew Davis, 51, went to be with his Lord and he will be missed very much by those he left behind. He was born March 7, 1959, in Charleston, W.V., to Jim and Shirley Davis now of Waxahachie and was the oldest of four sons. He was known as "Panda" or Big Mike to his friends. Mike was a son, a father and a grandfather and he enjoyed all three roles. Mike attended Sheppard College in West Virginia, Culinary School in Denver, Colo., and worked in the family restaurant business until moving to Texas. He worked with his father and brothers in the cellular business, managing several of their stores. He is survived by his parents; three brothers, Bruce, Stephen and Richard; one son, Jason Davis; one daughter, Leeann Money; four grandchildren, Alisha Davis of West Virginia, Anthony Snyder, Jessica Snyder and Shyanne Money, all of Cleburne. He was a great lover of animals, the outdoors and cooking. A celebration of life service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 12, at Cowboy Church of Ellis County with a meal following the service. The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Cowboy Church of Ellis County, 2374 U.S. Highway 287 Bypass West, Waxahachie, TX 75167 or the Ellis County SPCA, 2570 FM 878, Waxahachie, TX 75165, in Mike's name. Leo Werner at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Tyree Funeral Home Chapel in Oak Hill. Burial will follow in High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill, Mrs. Johnston died in Knoxville at 8 a.m. Monday following a short illness. Friends may visit at the funeral home from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday. Rosary will be recited at 7;30 p.m. Wednesday. on January 7, 1975.²

Surviving are her sons, Johnny Johnston of Dunbar and Jerry Johnston of Clendenin; brother, Clarence R. Pauley of Greenville, S.C; sisters, Mary Ann Clark of Charleston and Linda Hall of St. Albans; and grandchildren, Tara Renee and Troy Wayne Johnston. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, March 30, at Graceland Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel. There will be no visitation. She was born August 28, 1904 in Mt. Lookout, W.Va. daughter of the late George Washington Shawver and Harriett Melcina McClung Shawver. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 66 years, Hubert Jennings Cole. She was a lifetime member of Jehovah's Witnesses. Her survivors include her daughter, Peggy Jo Nichols and her husband, Ted; granddaughter, Kim Hubbard and her husband, Paul, all of Roanoke. A memorial service will be conducted 2:30 p.m. Saturday, January 13, 2001 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, Southwest Congregation. Robert Kinney will officiate.
